Yes there IS a resemblance based on the gesture, but I think it's because both of them are copying traditional Christian iconography.

Either way, it's a reference that will go way over Chris' head...

Wow. Excellent observation.

And way fucking creepier than basing the watercolor off Baphomet. But yes, at least it's likely to sail over his empty, bloated head.

Mewtwo is literally ripping through a Pikachu balloon in this trailer, hes being made out to be a threat/villain, not "helping out". Chris can't even correctly parse a trailer made for children.
Que Chris saying how that movie is fake news and his hubbytwo (I gagged typing that) is outraged, or it's the other mewtwo.

Or Chris is retàrded enough to believe that Mewtwo actually acted in the movie.

Chris will only get on Dr Phil if someone in his family or a best friend or something writes in, and I don't see Sonichu phoning the show anytime soon.

Chris' portrayal of mewtwo is quite different than the films' and games' portayal:

It's actually a reference to DaVinci's Salvator Mundi, which was recently restored, and hold the record for the highest price paid for a painting at auction. Compare and contrast:

Nice finds. However, it’s likely the artist has no semblance of culture or artistic history so he probably saw that tired Gabe Newell Steam meme picture and mimicked it because lol Sonichu and memes

Edit: redundancy
