I've always thought of it as some sort of cataclysmic purge scenario, where our normal reality would fuse with a bunch of different cartoon toon lands through the process of forcibly getting sucked into this swirling vortex and the result would be this realistic human/animated cluster fuck, kinda like the toon world in which framed Roger Rabbit, but way more gritty and exaggerated (fitting considering his opinion on that film).

it would explain why chris grabbed onto bronycon so hard. He seemed to get a lot of positive attention there (mostly because he was some super gold tier neet bux sponsor) and seemed to be generally tolerated which is a huge step up from his normal life.

It's kind of depressing that Chris's most cherished moments around other people are when he's merely tolerated.
