What do you guys think about the new season?

I honestly couldn't care less as the patch that adds the option to surrender with no mmr change if a teammate leaves within the 1st round will be the mid-season one. Also, Melusi is pretty neat and annoying to play against, I wouldn't be surprised if they nerfed her.

Bumping thread to discuss.

This season's tranny operator Osa was actually pretty decent gameplay wise. Very balanced right out of the box and fun to play while still being effective at "her" job. Kapkan buff that lets him put multiple traps on one window/door hasn't been fully utilized yet and when it is he will become pure cancer. Castle buff makes him a bit more fun and useful, he really wastes alot more time and utility now. Nerfs to guns are ruining the game by making fun operators frustrating to play. Twitch is amazing this season and one of the few times Ubisoft actually buffed a good character and made them fun without raping them in some other way.

New operator looks annoying. She will be more of a pain on console because its harder to snap to her gadget with a controller. Tried her on the TTS and her gun is pretty cool. Not sure how I feel about the reworked Outback, but playing it a few times I can already tell its better then that steaming pile of dogshit Theme Park that Ubisoft has the delusion of thinking is a good map.

People keep saying the game is dying/dead, mainly because of cheaters on both PC and console(Mouse and keyboard users on console are the kiddie diddlers of gaming).

Any Kiwis have thoughts/feelings about this game and its current state?

How does the community feel about the game's age, in terms of the amount of updates that have been done for the game? Some people have said that it feels like the game's engine is reaching its limits and breaking point, that some people think that you can update a game too much. The Sims 4 is another example of a game that feels that way, as it is 7 years old.

Also, is the E-Sports scene for R6 still in the same state as it was? How much did the recent passing of KiXSTAR affected the R6 scene?

People aren't really saying all that much about too many updates, if anything they are complaining about no new maps(only reworks) and only one op per season. The main thing they are angry about is cheaters. Im not sure how the e-sports scene is right now, but it definitely got hit hard with KiXSTAR's passing because he was probably the single best commentator for pro league. The rest of them are mostly garbage compared to him.

Well this aged like shit I can tell you that. Should have stuck to Base Game-Year 2 and stopped there.

I stopped playing this when they added a character who has map haxx.

What's the state of the game now?

I played for a short while then quit when they started banning people for saying mean words in chat, since the game devolved into baiting others into getting banned, which as hilarious as it may be, gave me a bad feeling about the direction the game was going.

Adding TDM is dumb since most games ended up as TDM anyway since it's a lot easier and faster to kill the other team than disarm the bombs.

They keep reworking the fucking UI and it's getting increasingly shit. Comparing the Year 3 UI to what we have now would make you think they were 2 separate games

haha they changed "HEARTCRUSHING DEFEAT" etc to "OPPONENTS WIN"

nobody ever loses! just different people win!
