And the whole TDUSC saga will be quite the writeup to do, as it managed to screw up almost everything possible with a racing game, and somehow lasted longer than expected, despite it having several Concordverse game traits.

After learning of it and seeing what they actually made it into - goooooood fucking riddance. Forcing progress entirely through pvp was a grade-A retard move for something like TDU.
So either you play as Aliens invading earth that haven't quite figured out how humans look or everyone is suffering from fetal alcohol syndrome.
Well either way I am not paying €119.99 for fucking Forza 6. What a joke.

There's more hearing aid color options than hairstyle choices lol. And of course, the obligatory pronoun selector. Although, it's a nice touch that they added voiced names and nicknames for the player. Codemasters figured this out over a decade ago in GRID, but better late than never.
Gay character customization options aside, I've been enjoying it so far. The game runs well, haven't ran into any major bugs yet, and I'd say it's arguably my favorite Horizon map so far, a close second behind Colorado if not. Everything looks great, car audio is improved across the board but still a little spotty in places. The roads and races are much more handling-focused this time around given the elevation changes and more twisty roads. There's still wide-open high speed sections of road such as the highway, but overall it's not as flat, straight, and open as FH5. There's finally dedicated playlists for different racing types and it isn't a pain in the ass if you just want to race someone anymore. There's playlists for drift, racing, and even spec racing where everyone uses the same vehicle. Eliminator is still here unfortunately, but it's not the only thing to do anymore.
Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. It's just more Forza Horizon in a newer setting with some minor upgrades, which is all I expected and wanted of it really. Forza Horizon is one of those games I was going to buy and play regardless because it's Forza, and the early access gives me a time window to knock out road exploration before the rest of the friend group gets on. I learned my lesson about not being thorough with checking roads and getting stuck at 99% map completion once, never again. The downside is I'm pretty sure I've driven all the roads, but since I haven't even bothered with the first wristband, I won't be positive until Legend Island opens up when I get the last one.
Same here, it's Horizon with less autistic Dude Bro commentary, a better soundtrack, better race layouts, an INFINITELY BETTER MAP than Mexico, and the game gets out of its way much faster to just let me dick around.
People complained about the road width or how small tokyo is, but both feel fine during racing. There's even some actual local style race tracks around you can hot lap on, both for dirt and off road. The elevation being so much better helps the map out a ton, Mexico was so fucking borng and flat. The game is also more colorful without looking cartoony.
The Touge race mode kinda sucks though, but that'll be fun with friends.
Thanks for the write-up. All that modern day inclusivity bullshit is just a sidenote in Forza but still needs to be called out, and you can always make fun of it. I did enjoy my time with 2,3 and 4 and always wanted Japan so it's not like I don't want to play it. Haven't played 5, but it's good to hear that there are improvements. I am just tired of that AAA price point. Either I buy the €70 edition that lacks a lot of stuff or have to sell my kidney for the €120 edition that probably like 5 won't even include all DLC. So I am just a bit salty about it.

I also noticed that your player character either speaks less or doesn't speak in FH6, compared to FH5, which is an improvement for sure. FH5 also changed the female player character's voice during a post-release patch for some reason.
Your character is entirely silent and the most obnoxious character is Mei, who at least is just too 'peppy' for me instead of overbearing.
They've massively, massively toned down the 'influencer' vibes from 5 because everyone hated it so bad, thank god.
My only complaint so far is 'above average' AI is too easy but 'challenging' AI is randomly impossible to beat. Not sure how its tuning the driveatars or w/e.
Thankfully after I clear the campaign it won't matter since they added spec racing online.
Yes, actually. Unfortunately, unlike FH5, you can only choose one prosthetic limb. I enjoyed making a character in FH5 with all prosthetics just because I got a giggle out of seeing the tiny iRobot arms in cockpit view and my character standing there like a Mr. Potato Head on the podium. If I want to be a quadruple amputee race car driver I should be able to.

They really need to add "Looksmaxxing" to the DSM so they have to put attractive characters in the game and I can play as a white guy that doesn't look like Will Stancil.
