When racing games try to incorporate stories or character development, I find the execution comes off as bombastic and cheesy.

Ogonoski has a bad habit of doing that with his videos, which is unfortunate because they're usually insightful. Think it's mostly his personal autism/perfectionism.

• They attempted to implement a Kernel-level anticheat for PC players due to hacking the leaderboards, but they went with a 3rd-rate one (SARD, which is Armenian-made, so the SAARD jokes aren't funny), it was broken that it literally caused game crashes, and they eventually got rid of it.
• The servers are both platform AND region-locked, and game saves are also region-locked too, meaning if you either travel or use a VPN, it will create a new game save.

I hate to say it but that sounds like TDU to me. I still remember foolishly clicking through a dialogue box with my 360 disconnected from the internet and wiping my save because i had downloaded the free DLC cars at some point.
Lately I've been wanting to replay a bunch of original xbox games and emulation seems to be pretty solid. Currently going through sega gt 2002 and I was planning to go onto test drive offroad wide open afterwards, but i fired it up to test it and I don't remember the steering being that touchy 15 years ago so I may pass on it.

I got them off of the beamng_leakedmods subreddit: possibly the only good thing I've seen or used on such a wreched site. It also comes with a ford pinto mod. But they both link to modsfire downloads and they work, with some flaws like black mirrors and whatnot but still pretty good.

Only 'paid mods' I ever considered getting is LucasBE's stuff, and his cars seem to be actually quality. And even then I pirated it anyways lol. This type of crap is so jewish.

Also I can see ModsFire seems to be shittifying itself now. I got the cars but it tried to redirect me into downloading "OperaSetup.exe" twice in a row for some unholy reason.
