And as expected, Project Motor Racing has been a mess during its launch.
I keep misreading that as Project Gotham Racing, a MS arcade racing game series for the original Xbox and Xbox 360.

How apt given that PGR3 was a launch title for the Xbox 360 20 years ago.

And as expected, Project Motor Racing has been a mess during its launch. The newer and faster cars (i.e. Hypercars) are uncontrollable if you're playing on a controller, there's FPS drops, the graphics look right out of the PS3 era, replays are limited to 30 FPS, and the Penalty System is again out of whack as other racing games have shown:

And director Ian Bell is already on damage control, saying that bugs "crept in to the Day 1 patch", along with the "Message to the Community":

Ian Bell and PMR are also doing the blocking tactic in regards to criticism and playful ribbing of the game, in the usual "I CANT HEAR YOU" fashion:

Even Aston Martin factory drivers are talking shit about how the Aston Martin hypercar is uncontrollable with a controller:

Speaking of PMR, some youtuber decided to cover its real problem.....BIGOTY! *cue thunder and lightning*

and the successor to Metropolis Street Racer that was on Dreamcast.
I liked Project Gotham, they had some really good radios in-game.

This is the 2nd tranny I've seen in the racing community... He's somehow even more retarded than the last troon.
How's about a third one?
Saw this in my feed not long ago. Total AGP brick hon. Crashes in every race he tries

Live For Speed (one of the OG racing sims, dating back to 2002) has a significant update coming up.
New graphics system with dynamic lighting (day/night), revamped tracks, 1000 Hz physics and timing, multithreading, and much more. Public testing starts this week. Stay tuned: https://www.lfs.net.
And a PreserveTube link for the particularly autistic.

Happy to see it updated after all this time. Something I need to play more.
Also, iRacing's first update of 2026 (technically last of 2025) is coming up tomorrow. I don't know if anyone here cares about it at all, but in my usual bout of boredom I rewrote the prerelease notes into a Rentry page here.

After Project Motor Racing bombed, Straight4 announced that they be laying off staff:

PMR is in so dire of a state that even fucking Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown has more players and a higher all-time peak:

What we've seen of it seems to point to a full construction vehicle centered update. So far we've seen this dump truck and some sort of heavy duty forklift.
can confirm what you said, they added said dump truck, and a lift arm loader with dump bucket, log sorter, and forklift pieces.

Three Fields Entertainment is so cash-strapped after Wreckreation flopped, that they opened up a Patreon to beg for more money.

Forza Motorsport will no longer be getting any further game updates:

Straight4 announced a "Short-term roadmap" for PMR, but with the layoffs, it's unlikely that they'll fix the game in that short amount of time.

Since the game awards reminded me it exists again, that Screamer game is asking $60 with a +$10 deluxe edition.
It looks to be a generic arcade racer with anime aesthetics, am I missing something to justify full AAA pricing plus likely heavy cosmetic monetization?

The Collector's Edition of the game will cost $200.

I think TDUSC's Collector Edition may have been cheaper than this, and yet it was still crap just like the game itself.

From the Ubisoft thread, modders have made The Crew 1 playable again, both online and offline.
