What other games do you have on your list?
Basically, every racing game (auts away) that isn't 2D, but that list's on pause now. What little time I spend playing racing games these days is spent playing the likes of Mario Kart or Hotshot Racing with the family, but if I know something that feels like MW'12, I'll find time.

Apparently, what Kaz has been cooking up, is a GT7 update that will contain SEVEN new cars, but since the previous updates were only 3 or 4, it looks huge, but isn't:

The cars appear to be:
  • Lexus LFA '10
  • Dodge Challenger SRT Demon '18
  • NISMO 400R '96
  • Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II '91
  • Dodge Charger R/T 426 Street Hemi '68
  • Porsche 911 (992) GT3 RS '22
  • Tesla Motors Model 3 Performance '23
I do wonder how PD still has the license for Tesla cars, since they stopped licensing them for other racing games.

Is The Crew: Motorsport actually a good game or it just looks better from FH5 and NFS: Unbound given that people are tired of open world racers now?

Did I miss some drama between Tesla and some other developer?

IIRC, Tesla decided to no longer license out their cars to racing games, but still does with the GT games for some reason. It's similar to how Rolls-Royce decided to stop licensing their cars in racing games as well.

PD will be rolling up a Spec II Update for Gran Turismo 7, which is the largest update for the game so far:

Features include:
  • SEVEN new cars
  • Arcade Race being re-worked as Quick Race, and PS5 players can race against the Sophy AI. Sophy AI is available on 9 tracks, and uses 340 available cars.
  • New “Lake Louise” Snow Track, which is a fictional Canadian race track
  • Weekly Challenges, which appear to be similar to the Event Playlist in Forza Horizon. Prizes appear to be just roulette tickets though, so expect to only get the bare minimum from them.
  • Three Extra Menu Books, since PD loves to use those as part of the "Main Campaign" for the game
  • 50 more License tests
  • Four-player Split Screen on PS5 (although it's yet to be seen if the bugs have been fixed)
  • A new Progression Dashboard
The timing of this update being after FM2023's poor launch is coincidental, but maybe those features were held back until now, hoping that Turn 10 fumbles their release. (and they did)

After a few days later I have finally completed the 24 hours of Le Mans in Gran Turismo 5 for the first time.

I'm so tired (:_( I never want to attempt this again.

And PD posted an infograph of the updates FH5 got, since it will be celebrating it's 2 year anniversary this week:

On the Motorsport side of things, T10 released the Patch Notes for Update 2, which is scheduled to release on November 14.

In addition to the mentioned new Saleen, the Gordon Murray T.50 will also be added to the game.

Out of boredom I decided to experiment with what road legal cars can I beat the Gran Turismo World Championship with. So far the cars that can win with relative ease are the Ford GT, Pagani Zonda and Ferrari Enzo. What I'm really trying to do right now is use the Mazda RX7 and other Japanese sports cars, but the main problem is how unstable they feel at high speeds even with areo kits and suspension tuning.
