They love their temporary comfortable position in the middle. No real societal responsibility while still more comfortable than the poor folks they hate at the bottom. And they get glamorized as "techy" and "innovative" or "disrupters." Yet the only order they disrupt is those where poor people make money and live. Fuck them.

I would agree generally, but frankly I think you can replace "white tech nerds" with just any of the usual dogwhistling wealthy talking heads that usually make up the SJW leadership. Every Sarkeesian and Wu and Moshe Kasher all just cry wolf over nonsense that doesn't impact anyone's feelings except those privileged enough to have no real problems in their lives - and rather than "techy" or "innovative" they simply brand themselves as being "the right side of history" and such. Meanwhile any poor people who don't serve their narrative (like poor white people) get stomped on as hard as possible to try to cover any chinks in the armor.

Hell, there's a reason you don't really see hashtags like #kony2012 or #bringbackourgirls anymore. They used to enjoy looking good by pretending to tackle real world problems, but they won't do it anymore: they have no willingness or ability to offer anything more than "spreading awareness" on social media, so when the militants who captured those girls rudely fail to return them, the cover is blown on the SJWs' impotence and people will lose faith in their patreon donations - and they know it. So instead they'll only proselytize about problems that possess two qualities simultaneously: 1) they must be "soft" - i.e., social or cultural things they don't like or attitudes they won't specifically quantify, instead of isolated events or charges. And 2) they must not be immediately solvable through any evident means, because even if you change some minds you can never say you solved it "enough". So you get shit like "manspreading" where no matter how much you might argue they've won, they'll still come back with "but I was on the train last week and a guy kind of selfishly sighed when he saw more people getting on who would need seats".

It's their own eternal War on Terror, and it keeps Anita Sarkeesian raking in that patreon paycheck while actual instances of violence, poverty, and marginalization get downplayed because then the CEOs would be accused of not fulfilling their self-appointed duties.
