The thing is, you can relate to a character that represents an ideal or fantasy, regardless of how they look. The folks on subreddits like this are just as guilty of objectification as the artists they complain about, the way that they negate everything important about female characters just because they may have big tits and be dressed in skimpy outfits.

I am an artist, though I haven't had the spare time to do much with it nowadays. I will back up the fact that "unrealistic" body shapes are really fun to draw... be they beefcake muscle guys or the kinds of ladies the people in this sub complain about.

I used to like it once, when they made fun of ACTUALLY bad art, where the artist genuinely didn't know how to draw a woman and it looks like a mess.
