A few months back, the subreddit "r/GamingMemes" got banned. The sub posted a pic (mildly) making fun of that new Dragon Age game. r/gamingcirclejerk seethed and r/gamingmemes, a ten-year-old subreddit, got banned for a lack of moderation shortly after.

Surprise surprise, a r/gcj user infiltrated the sub, removed all the current moderators, gave a gay anime villain speech (noticing a pattern here), and started banhammering. Then he deleted his account, and the sub was then shut down suspiciously quickly.

I might be beating the reddit dead horse here, but how do these people spend their limted, mortal, time like like. Do they get sexual arrousal from ruining other peoples simple criticism and fun.

kinda necrobumping but these people keep propping up, this thread is kinda funny since it goes back a couple years before this place went from "/r/gaming reddit normalfags are DUMB AND FARM KARMA" to "Trans communism lefties who have the power to kill any other subs they dont like" the history of this place is just so odd and its like how every circlejerk sub on reddit ends up. They all start making fun of the original community they are from but use it to bypass certain rules like "no politics" they went to the /v/ school of shitposting and often start political posts to reach /r/all in the guise of a video game question.

Apparently, any "normal" mod at that place were all kicked out and replaced with im not joking trans gay autistic communists. It had slowly morphed from being a more SJW place to straight up a tankie shit hole. You can even see in this thread 2015-2019 they were just the usual reddit losers mad over popular opinions but then around 2020 something broke in their minds. I am pretty sure they all unironic hate video games now and dont actually play shit

It was either Covid, BLM, or the 2020 presidential election. I can't think of anything else that could've caused this level of retardation.

From what I can understand to find, circlejerk subs were mostly made to circumvent an original community sub to either point fun or make shitposts. (NOT ALL) but it seems like a majority of circlejerk subs seemingly devolve into leftist controlled to straight up communist apologists. Gamingcirclejerk appears to be the biggest culprit as they apparently have power to take down subs they don’t like from what I read.

Circlejerk subs mainly existed for people who couldn't stand a main sub and would relentlessly mock it for whatever reason they saw fit. Back on its normal days, GCJ would make fun out of shit like Witcher 3 because reddit wouldn't stop soying out about it.

But just like gamers rise up attracted people who unironically hated nigggers, gaming circlejerk attracted people who actually had an axe to grind against the evil gamers and their refusal to accept the stunning and brave progress into their videogames.

The rest is history.
