Precisely. This hit the nail on the head. They refused for DECADES to eliminate waste in a manner that didn't break things. Now we have to break it to fix it. Maybe next time, they will be better and we won't have to break it to fix it.

Who am I kidding, the second Trump is out, they will muck it all up again. The next democrat trifecta administration will bloat this shit so big and put so many protections on it that not even god himself will be able to dig out the waste.

they should put out a statement with a title like "reddit is getting banned" but then elaborate in the actual article that that entails absolutely nothing, it's still gonna be up, it's still gonna be usable, it's still gonna be legal
just to give these people a little freakout and maybe also see which members of the intelligence community don't read before they chimp

??? It already has. USAID was just something that helped kickstart it, but the lack of funds from USAID are going to put hurdles in the way of anybody that keeps pushing this shit. The US is still the richest nation and was dumping millions if not billions of dollars into this nonsense, and it's suddenly over without any of the demons having much warning or way to find new funding sources. They'll be anemic for a long time.

Like I said. These morons are convinced there is a 'trick' to the buyout.
The actual 'trick' : These professional nappers will be held to standards that no one in their positions has ever been held to.
They will have to: arrive at the office, NOT take a sick day once a week, PAY for child care/school while they are at work, and
(oh my god, the humanity!) actually have to generate value-added labor on an hourly/daily basis.

Failing that - they get written up and booted - and have their unemployment suspended while contested.
8 months is an unreal treasure chest. The only way a fed employee (under scrutiny) should pass that up is if they are <5 years from retirement.
A buyout offer is a notification that you are going to be fired for 'cause'. And the employer is generating the 'cause'.

I'm saying it will find it's way into those peoples hands regardless of what route it takes. You can dismantle the entirety of the US government and some Saudi prince, a Russian Oligarch, a French Diplomat, and a corrupt South African will get some kind of a kickback out of it. Or don't and the same thing happens. Corruption is ever present across the world, but do not ever believe that anybody you believe to be the prophet and savior is ever going to do anything other than make your life more miserable and their bank account a tiny bit richer.

The trick is that after this voluntary separation period with comfy severance comes the involuntary separation period when they'll be fired for cause and get nothing. Feds who have never worked outside of government don't seem to be aware of this phenomenon.

I'm saying the way this is being done, and the end-goal, is not in the interest of the common folk. This is just a mixture of incompetence, idiocy, and bad intentions. You don't do that, it's been done before, don't let it, and don't clap when it happens, and don't act smug when the obviously stupid decision comes to fruition (ruins the country). They aren't doing exactly what YOU want. They are doing exactly what Trump's voter base wanted. You consider them exposing government corruption with a rapid pace and saving the taxpayer billions to be 'shitting their pants and pissing down my throat", why? Because they happen to be billionaires? Hundreds of politicians, if not thousands, sure didn't help over the past several decades, they only added to the rot, they never got to the core of the issue, they were bought out. Maybe we needed a couple of people who were independently wealthy to a ridiculous degree to do the job, they have no monetary reason for their jobs to be corrupted, unless they can somehow use gutting a body like USAID to benefit themselves and themselves alone, and I simply do not see how that will happen, and I have not seen evidence they're doing it.

It's very validating but also disheartening to know that all the "woke" bullshit pushed everywhere the last 15 years actually was a DNC/Deep State psyop to divide and control the population. On the one hand, my opinion has been vindicated with actual proof, and now its exposed and finally being torn down.

But it's also very disappointing because it isn't the kind of thing you want to be right about. You want to be a schzio in this case, and for everything to have an innocent explanation, and for everything to just be okay so you can relax and just let people be weird on their own time. Knowing it is part of a grand scheme and is supposed to make you feel frustrated, isolated and confused is so much sadder.

Let me put it in a lovely allegory: Something smells like shit. You've been telling everybody, and some believe you, but others insist they can't smell anything and it's probably your upper lip that stinks. Because of this, others remain neutral or stay quiet. Then you open the closet door and there's a massive pile of shit and photographs of the same people who just gaslit you contributing to the shit pile. You've been proven right, they've been exposed, the neutral folks believe you. Everything is great... except there's still a massive stinking pile of shit stinking up the whole building. If it were actually just your upper lip, it would have been better.
