Maybe trans groups should really be focusing on the mental health of trans people and urging people considering transitioning, especially younger people, to consult a good psychologist and consider what they say, which is almost certainly "gender dysphoria does not mean you have to transition".

Last time I ran the numbers tranny murder rates were 4x less than normal women. And, at least in the US, they are linked to a current/ex-lover, drugs, prostitution, or a combination of thereof. This meme that trannies are murdered in the street for being trannies mindboggling to anyone who looks at police reports or statistic. I'm sure their low life expentency has nothing to do with the 40-50% suicide rate they have.

Maybe trans groups should really be focusing on the mental health of trans people and urging people considering transitioning, especially younger people, to consult a good psychologist and consider what they say, which is almost certainly "gender dysphoria does not mean you have to transition".

Current medical practice is to tell them that it's "easier to change the body than change the mind." I know not every doctor is pushing the cock chop, but I'd love to know how many of them would be willing to tell someone not to. The pressure might come from peers, society, etc but I don't see most doctors nowadays to gatekeep REEEEE because they know the massive amount of blowback they'll get.
