When I learned that the feds raided his home a few years back, I figured he was done for (that it was either embezzlement, tax evasion or thou), even with his parents swearing up and down that "it was just a rumor". Idiots. The FBI doesn’t just raid someone's house for fun. 🙄 Which also now has me curious about why they went after Jake Paul last year...

Anyway, I hope the charges stick. He's a sick fuck that needs to go down (who also looks high as balls in his mugshot) and if his wife is too needy/stupid to leave him NOW, then shame on her, too! My heart goes out to all his victims, past and present. More proof that whenever you point a finger at someone, you still have three pointing back at yourself.

Does Anna even realize she has a lot of people who would be willing to help her if she left? And even if she does, she's been indoctrinated to believe she'll burn in hell or some shit if she doesnt remain by her chomo husband. Wouldn't be surprised if JB and Meech have threatened to take the kids away either.

one of the threads in Thunderdome about it has gotten some... interesting replies to say the least. That said I think even most A&H regulars realize trying to defend a child molester to own the libs is a bad look. Except for this guy:
People seem to nitpick the quiverfull movement which I find weird as the catholic church has always been against any kind of birth control, even abstinence (which is birth control). But in typical catholic fashion, all those that attend think just going to mas once in awhile and putting a few bucks in the plate is "good enough" and they ignore all the doctrine. I don't believe in birth control either, but my wife has medical issues and can't really get pregnant so I feel it would be awkward for me to go around preaching against birth control given my situation. I some times think how different my life would be if I had 10+ kids. Hard to say whether it would be "better" or "worse", but these fundamental religious groups see life as one following the commands of God no matter what the inconvenience. For me, that is a tough pill to swallow even though I agree with it.

I'll try to not power level, but I have met the Duggars on a few occasions at the multiple home schooler's conferences they attended every year. I can say their family is the same off the show as on the show and that has always impressed me. I find their family genuine and honestly a good role model in general. The internet seems to root for their entire destruction continually and I find that disgusting. There are a heck of a lot worse parents out there, us kiwis know that (just look at any BLM thread for examples). There are plenty of kids out there that grow up to trash talk their fudie parents, but so far, the Duggar kids are not amongst that group, and I think that says a lot (in that they aren't being "abused" as everyone states).

The situation with Josh is certainly unfortunate but the harder I try to condemn him, the more I see myself in different light. From what I remember, Josh was "accidentally" touching his sister's butts and sometimes touching on them while they slept. What impressed me was he actually told on himself. I mean, every night his parents would pray with him and ask if there were any unconfessed sins that he needed to admit to. And this act burned his conscious until he told on himself. I don't think I could have done that, I'm a coward and would rather ignore my guilt and let it manifest into some kind of mental disorder like every other spineless American. I played some really heinous acts of "tuth or dare" with my cousins at a sleepover at my grandma's before, and briefly tried to spy on my step-sister in the rest room. Perhaps none of these are "Josh level", but my parents could still have taken me to the police department and had a report filled out (which is what the Duggar parents did). If it was my son that was touching my daughter and he admitted it to me, I'm really not sure what I would do. I don't think I'd have a police report made just so some tabloid can get access to it though. Perhaps I'd just sit him in front of google and type in "Josh Duggar" and tell him to start reading as punishment. But that would probably just convince one to never tell the truth and always deny everything, because if Josh did that initially as a teenager, he would have probably fared better.

Of course having a computer full of cheese pizza is another matter. But there is a big difference between downloading the 20gb of leaked facebook private photos off of bit torrent which would contain no telling what, and actual predatory behavior. And that is as far as my defense can go on that matter.

Edit: alright, I'll admit it, this was a stupid post on my part.

I can't imagine other more sane churches and religious groups haven't reached out to her to help because 1. Just about every other denomination out there know the Quiverfull's are nutjobs 2. It's an easy way to get publicity and 3. Those brownie points with God for helping a woman and her litter of children out.

One of her brothers was very outspoken and publicly encouraged Anna to leave Josh during the cheating scandal. Also, one of her sisters had a child out of wedlock and was engaged several times before she got married, I'm sure she'd also help her out. Though I don't know how much help (beyond emotional support) regular people could practically provide to a single parent with 7 kids.

Anna has a few siblings who now 'live in the world' in fundiespeak. I know they've been gunning for her to leave and offering her help and a place to stay for her and the kids. I just don't think she's ever going to actually take them up on it.

I maybe spiritual and a sane religious person, but good lord, the Quiverfull cult makes The Church of Scientology look sane and level headed. I'm just shocked the Quiverfull hasn't turned full Jim Jones on their followers and force them to drink toxic soft drinks for questioning them.

Heck, even sane Christians and Catholics I knew growing up found the Quiverfull cult creepy and troubling. What does that tell everyone here?

My little sis is pretty religious, but no way as looney as the QF people are, she loathes groups like QF and the other fundies.

And you guys do know Andrea and Rusty Yates were Quiverfull as well? Rustys' desire to reproduce came before Andreas' mental health. They were both warned by her OB and psychiatrist to not have more children.
But Rusty wanted more, and we all know how that ended up.

This is all an interesting twist of fate for Anna. Her father is a prison minister, and when she was introduced on whatever kids and counting, she said she grew up going with her father to prisons, and was also doing prison ministry. While most sane people would have a crisis of faith, considering the massive QF brainwashing, it's possible that she's convinced that god's plan for this "season of life" is unfolding.

I've always blamed Rusty. I think Andrea has minimal culpability, like, the least a person could possibly have without having done the deed in the first place.

People don't get how these quiverfull (I know they technically weren't quiverfull but they were in all but name) families work. Dad/husband's word is law. He's only accountable to god, therefore his word basically is the word of god. You have no choice but to obey. If Rusty says no more meds against medical advice, then it's no more meds. If Rusty says he wants more kids against medical advice then they're having more kids. If Andrea has postpartem psychosis and isn't allowed to be around the kids unsupervised, who cares, that's just the doctors, what do they know? They don't know Andrea like Rusty does. The kids will be fine because Jesus!

Even taken out of its religious context it was clear she was desperately ill and should be treated accordingly. Within the context of this specific religion and the way they practiced it, I feel like he should have been the one going to jail.

I know that's a pretty extreme take on it, but Rusty was the worst kind of fundamentalist piece of shite.

It makes me so sad knowing Anna's had a way out for years and just can't bring herself to take it. She's stuck with him through the molestation and cheating and porn addiction humiliation and now this. She either loves him enormously or she's too terrified of the social and familial repercussions to leave.

On a slightly lighter note, am I the only person who thinks Jill will be creaming her panties at the thought of all the ways she can offer support and comfort to the Kellers? If she inserts herself far enough she might just get to offer her 'support' to the Duggars themselves! This is why the Chinese word (character?) for crisis also means opportunity. It's Jill's time to shine!

Yeah I don't think Andrea Yates is completely blameless, but I do genuinely believe by the time she killed her kids she was so severely mentally ill that she truly believed she was saving them from a fate worse than death. Plus it wasn't like there weren't years of warning signs, including her attempting suicide out of fear of harming the kids and mandatory hospitalization as a result. But nope, as soon as she was out Rusty demanded she go off her meds so she could keep churning out kids for him because that's what people like him believe women exist to do.

Then he divorced her when she went to prison and could no longer fulfill her wifely duties as a broodmare.

At the time of the murders she was ordered to not be left alone with the kids at all, period. They knew she was in danger of harming them. Doctors were aware of it. Rusty was aware of it. The family was aware of it. But they left her alone with them anyway. It's so damn tragic.

I think one of the grossest things Randy ever said was that Andrea betrayed him. He betrayed her at every single turn during their entire marriage by always going against what was in her best interests and ignoring her needs, and he was the reason she was unmedicated, but sure, she betrayed you.

Rusty actually thought that she'd be found innocent and they'd go on to have many more kids. Insane.

Word around r/DuggarSnark is that Josh told his family that he was framed, and they believe him (or at least Anna does and Boob and Meech pretend to). According to Josh, he hired a shady (read: nonwhite) person to work at the car lot he owns. Said shady dude broke into his office, hacked into his computer, and downloaded cp to set him up because he was pissed at Josh for some reason.

He seems to think the feds will be as easy to manipulate as his simple wife. He's going to be in for a rude awakening.

Lol, I also remember telling my parents when I was 12 that I was hacked when they would see I've been to websites they wouldn't approve of.

Not surprised if it's true that Josh is trying to claim some bullshit about a scary brown person framing him and that he's innocent. This trial is gonna be a riot and I'm sure Meech and Boob especially will say plenty of stupid shit.

So much for Thou Shalt Not Lie.

So..you CAN'T pray pedo tendencies away?

Imagine my shock.

Dealing with pedos is a chore, just like any other.

Sieves are more watertight than his excuse. If it were true, he'd have been able to produce the guy's name and info, security footage (I refuse to believe that in 2019, his car lot didn't have security cameras trained on the cars and all angles of the office), and when he figured this out, someone with a low-average IQ would even know they needed to file a police report to cover their own asses. He is monumentally stupid, but we already knew that, dude used his own name to sign up for a cheating site.

I'm assuming the indictment is a result of a sting using a honeypot site or undercover agent acting as a CP peddler, or someone in the CP community became an informant to reduce their charges as part of a larger case. What I don't understand is why it took them a year and a half from the time of the raid till the time they arrested him. Anyone have any ideas? Covid lockdowns started just over 3.5 months after the raid, but they wouldn't have waited that long to take a potential predictor away from access to so many children just because of covid, would they?

Anna won't leave the cult, because if she does she and her children will just be people. If she stays she gets to be a 🌟DUGGAR🌟, which is fundy royalty.

As for Josh not getting away with this shit yet again, don't underestimate how powerful those churches are.
For reasons, a few years ago I was closely following the story of John and Christin Henry, whose 3 children were killed in a fire that even the most brain-dead methhead could have prevented.
The churches they were affiliated with rallied and quietly went after anyone questioning the official narrative with a ruthlessness that would make the mafia step back in awe.
Josh will walk away unscathed. I want to be wrong about this, but I fear I won't be.
