Jesus. The way the Bus kid postures himself and stares around with wide eyes, otherwise unmoving, reminds me a bit of the Hartley twins. I know jack shit about child development but I don't recall ever seeing my friends babies curl up like they're having an aneurism

If you had livestock that suffered a potentially fatal illness every time you bred them, you'd stop breeding them. She's given less consideration than a cow would be.
Karissa is the one in charge of this crazy train, just like Jill or any of the other cluster B fundie moms. She’s doing it to herself (probably because she was floridly mentally ill from the start).

I am not an expert either, but my kids are small enough that I can make comparisons with fresh memories. And Baby Bus isn't doing things at six months that we observed ours doing at three months. Considering how many kids Brittany has, she has to know something isn't right.

Not going to link the video discussing Karissa since it was mid but it did get me wondering: does she have religious psychosis? Maybe not that severe but her delusions involving religion have gotten worse and worse with each pregnancy.

I learned that having more than 4 kids actually starts to break down and damage your body, and you become unable to give appropriate attention to all your kids past that. It's why big families seem to have favorites of 3 or 4 out of say.. 8 to 10.
Between the psychosis/depression, the brain damage it's very likely causing (due to regularly draining her of any nutrition) I could believe she either doesn't notice or care.
Some people can handle big families, others, like mama bus, can't.

The big families I’ve met that were semi normal spread their kids out over many years, so they may have 10 kids but the parents got married at 22 and had their last kid at 40. And extra year between kids makes a huge difference.

The way that he conceptually separates his male and female children into "heirs" and "dishwashers" respectively is utterly odious. It just goes to show how little respect these men have for the women in their family, and frankly, how little respect the women in these relationships must have for themselves. It's one thing for some terminally online rightoid to say these sorts of things about women they will never interact with (they're a dime a dozen), but it's a cause of some consternation to witness a father use this kind of language about his own daughters.

Spreading the pregnancies out is arguably better for the health and wellbeing of the mother, but you still have the problem of the parental attention being divided between what amounts to a small classroom of children. An additional problem spreading out the pregnancies creates is that children often have differing needs at different ages, which often divides the attention further. It's hard enough work having to look after a bunch of small children; it's arguably even harder to have to address the needs of small children, older children, young teenagers, and college freshman all at once.

Growing Goodings is a pro-life quiverfull influencer that has 7 children that amassed somewhat a decent following of 51.3k subscribers on Youtube and 164k followers on Instagram. She is a converted Orthodox Christian and her content is very typical vlogs about her life, thoughts and relationship with her religion.

She recently gained notoriety after being posting how she's planning to move forward with her ectopic pregnancy
due to her pro-life stances. Ectopic pregnancy is when a fertilized egg implants itself in one of the fallopian tubes,
usually the embryo doesn't survive past the first trimester and when it does it can be lethal for the mother which is
why in most cases that include ectopic pregnancy doctors suggest the termination of the pregnancy.

Yikes on bikes. I will be very interested in how this works out.

Good find!

Placing my bet on: she starts hemorrhaging uncontrollably and is rushed to the ER where she gets the fuckin abortion while unconscious and they save her life, but she conveniently ignores the abortion and spins it as “God decided it was time to call His angel home” and “See? I didn’t die, we don’t need abortions.”

Alternately, it would be great if she died. These people want to be martyrs so badly, let them. Hopefully her surviving children will be sent to be raised by saner relatives.

Goodings has had a bunch of miscarriages, which I think is driving her decision-making here. It's especially odd considering Orthodox church law allows for termination in case of an ectopic pregnancy. It's also interesting that the pregnancy is located in her c-section scar tissue, not in her fallopian tube. I had no idea that could happen.

Like she started out Quiverfull and converted to Orthodox?

Very prolife to leave your children potentially motherless. Seems like God is telling her she was meant to have 7 kids and no more.

I did some digging about her, unfortunately since she's not that gargantuan influencer/vlogger at least compared to your usual quiverfull religious influencers tend to be,
the information and discussion surrounding her is very limited with the only place the seemingly discusses her and her shenanigans is a subreddit called r/FundieSharkUncensored.

From what I could gather is that apparently Alex Goodings (the woman's name) has been struggling with depression and anxiety due to her immense trauma from the past such as parental neglect and abuse, drug abuse, rape/sexual violence and 3 suicide attempts. Apparently according to the redditors from the aforementioned subreddit Alex tends to powerlevel a lot about her personal experiences to the point it gets to the "Why would you share this and you don't have to share this" territory such as her recently sharing a picture of her daughter bawling her eyes out because she broke her leg.
1730757660717.png

What's also interesting is that apparently her oldest child is not her and her husband's child,
rather a child she gave birth to when she was single.
1730757275337.png

As for her religion, she started off as your very out-of-the mill Protestant influencer and her conversion to Orthodox Christianity was something very recent she did in February this year. The moment she started converted to Orthodox Christianity not only she started wearing the veil, but her daughters must wear it as well although she insists that she didn't force them to wear the veils. Her husband allegedly wasn't religious at all until a year ago and from the looks of it, he's your average "trad" guy who keeps impregnating Alex without any breaks despite knowing she's not really mentally well and post-partum depression hitting her hard while not helping her in any way despite having the resources to be able to do so.

1730756069175.png 1730756245405.png 1730756897923.png

She also apparently got some flak for giving her child "happy juice" and recording him having his meltdown a year ago.
1730758178277.png

For those that are unfamiliar Happy Juice is a product by a company called Amare that claims it can allegedly "cure" mental health problems. Conveniently she also
consumes this product and said she gives this to her 11-year old daughter for anxiety related issues. However, the company behind this product is facing lawsuits
due to allegedly having potentially dangerous ingredients such as lead, mercury and cadmium in its products.

Jesus H. Christ. These people never stop surprising me. God forbid she thinks about her other children who are actually alive.

Ah, yes. Practicing as Christians have for millennia - Posting on IG and speaking English, with women studying scripture and history instead of, I dunno, raising all the children they wanted.

Every time I see these parents who constantly shit out kids I always get the feeling that the oldest ones end up becoming the parental figure. And it’s often the oldest daughters.

I hope these parents don’t become surprised when the oldest daughter grows up to be that childfree catlady who hates kids because she had to be the surrogate parent. And doesn’t give her parents those coveted grandkids.

I used to keep up with her a few years ago, but I haven’t checked up on her in a while. If I remember correctly, she met her current husband as an irreligious single mom into tattoos. She had a few kids with him and became obsessed with fertility. Countless IVF cycles and miscarriages. This somehow coincided with her getting into homesteading, homeschooling, and becoming progressively religious. When I followed her a few years back she was getting into head covering and trying to make her husband go to (Protestant) church. Her husband likes having kids but seemed indifferent at best if not reluctant to support her religious journey. I wonder if much of this is due to falling down the trad wife rabbit hole online during the pandemic?
