So it came out at trial that Josh was watching regular ol' adult porn, and managing to hide it from Anna but now we know it was actually rape fantasy porn, also on the Linux partition, right before he downloaded pizza.

Pretty sure when boys are into rape porn it means they've been molested

But I'm sure meech and JimBoob would never make that public because they think it would reflect on them as shittier parents than they already are.

Can't have TLC look bad for sending gay cameramen to your home and leaving your kids alone with TLC producers to rape them like that other TLC show did, was it little family big world, where the son said he was molested by someone in the industry?

Josh made a "swallowing" joke on their show long ago when Anna went in for prenatal care.

Does their church even allow for blowjobs?

I love it when these old clips are dug up , I didn't watch the show but I sure do enjoy these awkward cult clips, the psychological training by these fundie groups is astounding

So Joe and Kendra have 3 kids and live on the compound, and Kendra's parents (who have 9 kids total) are in this new one.

Article says Kendra was preggo when her mom was preggo with her 9th.
So I know a baby boomer who got married in the 60s, she said her mom attended the wedding preggo with her 8th kid at her wedding, and she was like "what am I gonna tell my friends?" Embarrassed. She's from the upper Midwest.
The Duggars, on the other hand , clearly don't see this as...weird. I know this is a quivvy thjng but is it also a southern thing?

After digging into the Bates a little bit, I'm not surprised their show is cancelled

They have enough scandals and every other network is doing brown people programming, so it's no surprise they would axe the white family that's Lowkey racist

Shit we all already knew, but it tells a good story about how "It all started out in a letter, discovered in a loaned book..."

I mean, not really, not exactly, but yes? but it's good storytelling nonetheless.

I believe their church allows blowjobs. I watched a nauseating episode of 19 and counting*, I think it was during michelle's last pregnancy and they were in a doctor's waiting room, jb needed a tissue because of his allergies and he was snorting, you could hear him gurgling snot, and he said something like "I don't know what to do with it, do I swallow...." and he and michelle look at each other and giggle, jb makes some comment to the camera like "ooops" and he and michelle keep giggling about his naughty reference. It was vile and so immature.

*since jb and michelle rant about abortion and how it's genocide of children in the womb blah, blah, blah, wouldn't personhood also apply to Jubilee, their stillborn? The had a big funeral and showed pictures of her stillborn body, etc. So why didn't the title change to 20 kids and counting? (or 21 kids and counting if you consider Caleb, their miscarriage after josh). Is it because that would be a bummer? Kinda hypocritical to put their show, viewership and pay above their fight against abortion.

I don't know about the south, but the mom and daughter/daughter in law pregnancy thing is really common in quiverfull culture. A friend was a former gothardite and she was pregnant with her second (and last) when her MIL was pregnant with her 9th (of 12). I'm assuming it's also common in conservative catholic and LDS cultures too. I think it has to do with shunning birth control and being praised for their big families.

From what I've gathered, only anal sex is taboo to fundies, and that is the only reason a wife can refuse sex with the husband. Everything else is fair game though, but you know these fundie men never give a shit about the woman's pleasure, so I'm sure they don't ever have to reciprocate oral on the wives.

Oral is only fair game because they're too stupid to use a dictionary.

Oral is only fair game because they're too stupid to use a dictionary.
That and because oral is universally accepted as something straight couples can do, while also being a way to control/punish women. I've heard quite a few supposedly straight women who are otherwise okay with having sex with a man otherwise find dicks gross/unpleasant and want nothing to do with blowjobs as a result. So what better way to assert domination over your wife than to force her to do something she finds extremely unpleasant.

Obviously this only applies to fundie men on the receiving end. Women enjoying sex is a no-no for fundies so no way they're going to return the favor, ever. I can't imagine fundie sex being much more than the woman lying on her back/doing whatever her husband wants until he gets off, while she receives little to no pleasure of her own and obviously doesn't get off.

Anal however is fairly universally seen as being gay, even when it's female ass, so that's a no-go. Especially for closeted fundie boys/men who feel the need to lie to themselves about enjoying pussy instead of cutting family ties to be themselves.

Some evangelicals think anal is ok , can anyone tell me if Baptists in general have some rule against it? I would assume that only PIV sex is approved because you can't make babies by coming in the ass or mouth , also aren't baptists in general very anti Catholic and I thought the Catholic Church had a more progressive stance on types of sex between married couples, aside from don't masturbate the future babies out of your dick cuz that's a sperm baby holocaust

I love shitting on fundies (obviously) but damn some of their haters who hate watch them have a cult all their own, but Its funny when the tabloids still give the Duggars space to exclaim that Michelle wears pants now! And leggings! Like it's only "scandalous" because they're a weird former reality tv family

Another old clips surfaced of Amy giving Josh advice for his first kiss at his wedding. like there is so much wrong with this family dynamic and if Josh wasn't a piece of shit I'd feel bad for him (like I do most fundie raised people when it comes to sex stuff and family being...Invasive and awkward because essentially your virginity is on display, all the fucking time, with that weird obsession they have with it in their church.)

I'm kinda surprised the family allowed the "worldly cousin" to even talk to him.

New fundie family with 10 kids busted by CPS and is suing Indiana CPS over religious freedom

Couple suing Indiana DCS says they followed Old Testament when disciplining their children
Noah Dalton, The Times-Mail
Fri, February 18, 2022

BEDFORD — A Springville couple have filed a lawsuit against the Indiana Department of Child Services, claiming the agency violated their right to religious freedom after their 10 children were removed from their home, following their 2019 arrests for neglect of dependent and domestic battery.

Documents filed by Scott A. Blattert and his wife Cherry A. Blattert and their attorney, David Smith, in Lawrence Circuit Court claim that the parents employ the Holy Bible for guidance on how to discipline their children, specifically verses from the Old Testament book of Proverbs, which read:

Proverbs 13:24 - “Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.”

Proverbs 22:15 - “Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far away.”

Proverbs 23:13 - “Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish them with the rod, they will not die.”

Proverbs 29:15 - “A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom, but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother.”

Proverbs 29: 17 - “Discipline your children, and they will give you peace; they will bring you the delights you desire."

Indiana DCS removed children due to evidence of abuse
The Blatterts' children were removed from their care after an Indiana State Police investigation found that they had aggressively disciplined their children.

Scott Blattert was allegedly seen on video striking one of his children with a belt, punching the child in the face and elbowing the child in the head.

Later, one of their children was interviewed by police, where the child told officers that both Scott and Cherry struck them with industrial-grade glue sticks as a form of punishment. The child claimed these were used because they caused significant pain, while leaving few visible markings.

Parents cite Religions Freedom Restoration Act as defense for child abuse
Court filings further explain that the parents believe their actions would be protected under Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which was signed into law in March 2015 by former Gov. Mike Pence. The bill states that the government cannot impede on the rights of an individual to practice their religion freely, without compelling interest to do-so.

The lawsuit seeks "declarative and injunctive relief" against IDCS, allowing them to reclaim full custody of their children.

"The Department of Child Services’ termination actions are serious burdens on Scott Blattert and Cherry Blattert’s religious exercise. Indeed, it is hard to imagine more serious burdens except perhaps imprisonment or the death penalty," the complaint filed on behalf of the couple stated.

This is not the first time Scott Blattert has claimed RFRA as defense related to his case.

Blattert previously attempted to claim the bill as a defense in his criminal proceedings related to his previous discipline of his children, where he faces multiple criminal charges including aggravated battery, a Level 3 felony and multiple counts of domestic battery resulting in the bodily injury of a person under 14, a Level 5 felony.

Lawrence Superior Court I Judge John Plummer III did not allow Blattert to use the bill as a defense, a decision which he has appealed in the Indiana Court of Appeals.

The appeal remains ongoing.

i think it was mentioned before how the word sodomy has drifted definitions since it appeared in da bable
They must be IBLP and adherents of the Pearls "To Train Up A Child" book, because the Pearls specifically say you should use those glue sticks on kids as switches.
isn't that book linked to three deaths due to child abuse? including hana williams (link). really fucking harrowing shit.

Scott Blattert was allegedly seen on video striking one of his children with a belt,
What kind of sick liberal society do we live in where a man loses his children just for a good old-fashioned belt whipping. What is Indiana coming to?
punching the child in the face
Well what's a little bone shattering punch in a child's face? Get over it pussy.
and elbowing the child in the head.
Was this corporal punishment or was he using the kid as an MMA training dummy?

Karissa has had a miscarriage. Do I feel bad for her on the basis of losing a child, cause it’s hard to process? Sure.

But she also refuses to believe that the baby’s gone, so she will continue to believe that her daughters prayers will resurrect the fetus, until it passes out of her body.
Maybe she shouldn’t have tried fasting for 11 days without water. She also didn’t get the rhogam shot for anthym and wasn’t sure about doing it for this pregnancy either. Not sure if that could’ve contributed.

In this case, I don't think so. Refusing the RhoGAM shot (in multiple pregnancies, even!) put her fetus at risk for Rh disease, which absolutely can and does kill—but as a rule not in the first trimester.

"RhoGAM" is a brand name for Rho(D) immune globulin (RhIG), which is used to prevent a condition called "Rh disease". Rh disease occurs when a woman whose blood type is Rh-negative (1) becomes sensitized to Rh-positive blood, generally from a fetus—most commonly after a normal birth, but sometimes due to abnormal fetal bleeding—and (2) subsequently has or continues an Rh-positive pregnancy. Anti-Rh antibodies from the mother cross the placenta and attack the fetal blood cells, causing anemia, spleen and liver damage, and potentially cardiac failure and death.

Without prevention, about 15% of Rh-negative women will be sensitized after an Rh-positive pregnancy; without treatment, about 40% of fetuses with Rh disease die before or shortly after birth, and many of the rest have brain damage.

RhIG prevents sensitization and therefore Rh disease. It's now part of routine prenatal care (for Rh-negative women) and saves tens of thousands of babies' lives every year.

Collins got the shot for all of her children before Anthym, so we can presume she's Rh-negative. She didn't get it for Anthym, and when her doctor wanted her to get it in her subsequent pregnancy because she was bleeding, she went to Facebook for medical advice because needle scary. She was insanely negligent.

But something else was already wrong, so this time it didn't matter. It's cool, God will probably count it as a sacrifice or something.

Josh doesn't have a leg to stand on as far as the acquittal motion correct? Then why'd the judge grant an extension?

Josh doesn't have a leg to stand on as far as the acquittal motion correct? Then why'd the judge grant an extension?

Since it went completely unopposed by anyone from the government, it sounds like extending it is harmless and doesn't change anything. Josh stays in jail, and by not denying his lawyers plenty of time to confer with him, they offer no chance that a second appeal will take place on the basis that Josh was denied approriate counsel during his appeal.

The Turpin case is VERY fucked up and it's making me Mati 😠😡🤬

WHO ARE YOU REALLY PROTECTING, JUDGE KENNETH FERNANDEZ???

Investigators probing allegations in Turpin case lack access to records

Three months after California authorities announced an investigation into alleged failures in the care of 13 Turpin children rescued from a house of torture four years ago, the team tasked with investigating the situation has yet to access some court and county records at the heart of the case, due to confidentiality rules.

During a probate court hearing in Riverside County Thursday, lawyers for the adult Turpin children, the county, and an outside firm hired to investigate grappled with balancing the need for information with the Turpins' privacy.

Though the court session ended without resolution, the hearing made it clear that, months into their probe announced in November, the investigators have not been able to review many of the records they have sought.

Judge Kenneth Fernandez said he does not need to abide by anyone's timeline but his own in ruling on the request to turn over the records -- even though the county announced in November that investigators' findings would be turned over by the end of March, just one month away.

"We would very much like to be able to assess and evaluate these records in terms of the care to the Turpin family," said Hilary Potashner, a lawyer with Larsen LLP, the firm conducting the investigation. "The assertions are serious and important to be reviewed."

The county had hired the outside firm to probe the county's treatment of the Turpin siblings after county officials and some of the adult Turpin children spoke out in an ABC News report that looked allegations that the adult children do not have access to many of the resources and services guaranteed to them since they were rescued and placed in the care of Riverside officials.

Despite repeated requests by ABC News, county officials have yet to explain why it has taken so long for the preliminary steps in the outside probe to be taken, or whether the pace would delay the investigation. Riverside County spokeswoman Brooke Federico told ABC News on Thursday and Friday that explanations would be forthcoming, then on Saturday she wrote in an email that "sometimes this can take longer than originally anticipated."

MORE: 4 years after rescue, some Turpin children still 'living in squalor' despite donations, pledges of support

After the 13 Turpin children -- who ranged in age from 2 to 29 -- were rescued, they were placed entirely under the care of the county; the adult siblings were placed in court-appointed conservatorships, while the minor children were placed in the foster system. There, the Turpins' case remained shrouded in secrecy due to state law that mandates confidentiality in all juvenile court proceedings, as well as an unusual blanket sealing order put in place in the adult children's cases, right after they were rescued, in order to protect them from the onslaught of media coverage.

At issue now is the strict confidentiality order shielding documents in the adult children's cases. None of the parties involved in the case are opposing that the records be turned over to investigators, where they would remain confidential -- but the firm representing some of the adult children in the case are asking a protective order to be put in place to prevent the documents from becoming public.

"Our concern would be although we think that the investigator appointed by the county should have access to everything, that there should be no risk that by the investigator getting it, it becomes public record and accessible to the public," said Kenneth White, an attorney for Brown White and Osborn, which represents some of the adult Turpin children.

During Thursday's probate hearing, which was held only in regard to the adult Turpin cases, Potashner disclosed to the court that the firm had also been unable to access the recordsfor the minors.

The 13 Turpin siblings were rescued in January of 2018 from their family home in Perris, California, where authorities said they had been held captive by their parents, beaten, and deprived of food, sleep, hygiene, education, and health care. Last fall, an ABC News investigation found that some of the Turpin children continued to face challenges and hardships since they were rescued and placed in the care of the county. Some of them have even faced danger agai

"They have been victimized again by the system," Mike Hestrin, the Riverside County district attorney, told ABC News' Diane Sawyer in an interview last summer for the 20/20 special event, "Escape From A House Of Horror
