It can't have helped that they lived crammed into a bus with multiple young kids. She had virtually no quiet moments or time to herself. Add the weird "preacher" guy Rusty was infatuated with and Andrea never stood a chance.
I don't remember where I read it, People magazine maybe, but Rusty allowed Andrea to have two hours for herself once a month on a Sunday evening, while he "babysat" his children. But they were living in a bus/RV at the time, so there was really nothing she could do for herself.
Sunday evening, nothing's open, so no spa day or movie day for her.

kek, Karissa's fetus saw the shitshow it was about to be born into and was like
hooray-its-weekend.gif

I don’t doubt that Karissa’s stupidity and carelessness had a part to play in the loss of her embryo, but isn’t it commonly recommended that expectant parents not share news of their pregnancy with others until the second trimester due to the already very high chances of miscarrying (even if you are sane and doing everything to ensure a safe, healthy, and successful pregnancy) during the first trimester?

I have read of experiences where missed miscarriages were erroneously called, like when the mother had the dates wrong and thought she was further along than she was and thus the heartbeat hadn’t started yet, or the obstetrician missed the fetal heartbeat [which is apparently more likely to happen if the mother is obese].

Doctors typically let mothers go home to absorb the news of their miscarriage, and they can choose to pass it either on their own, or be referred to dilation and curettage [D&C], where they will be imaged again to make sure the fetus has no heartbeat before the procedure, which is where some of these poor women found out their fetus not only still had a heartbeat, but had been growing at a normal rate the entire time their mother had been grieving their loss.... so, not miraculous instances of resurrection, but rather human error.

However, Karissa thinking her children’s prayers and God’s will can somehow resurrect her embryo and that she will not believe that it has died until she expels it from her body is absolute :lunacy:.

Anecdotally, I have read that when doctors get Andrea's meds adjusted properly, they have to tell her again why she's in prison. She is so floridly mentally ill that she doesn't remember otherwise.

I don't care what you think of her, that is plenty of punishment for anyone.
Yes, poor woman. I’ve also heard that she’s been absolutely heartbroken every time she’s reminded because, psychosis aside, it wasn’t in her nature to kill all her kids. Honestly, I agree with whoever said her shitbag husband should have been charged with the deaths of those poor babies.

It’s suggested, but I personally think that if the parent wants to share early, they have a right to. Might give more people time to be prepped for a lot of scenarios of miscarriage if they’re aware early enough. Better prepped to help the grieving mom out, yknow?

Karissa is just fucking insane and is so delusional about everything regarding babies and children that I know for her everything focuses around babies (but not her ones who are born ofc), so I’m not surprised she announces early in the least. She probably doesn’t give a fuck two ways to Sunday if the baby makes it or not, she’ll probably keep trying to pop out another one either way.

She’s the only fundie that I follow that has no regard for her children in any capacity, not even a little bit for the babies. At least Jill holds some capacity for love for her (Golden) kids, and would actually probably be devastated if some of them bit it for real, plus Jill does, at least amongst her favorites, show some love for the toddlers even if it’s not completely motivated by unconditional love. Karissa only cares about her week old makeup and the next time mandingo mandrae can cum in her again to give her the “voice” from god. Her favorite little boy, Anchor, got put to the side for Anthym when she was born, then even Anthym was no longer a novelty for her. The baby NEVER shows any sign of bonding with Karissa, and once she realized that, she probably started discarding the baby to the point we get her in the hospital from neglect

Not to mention I think a lot of people doesn't understand that mental illness, even conditions and disabling and serious as bipolar and schizophrenia, isn't really that different than any other kind of illness. Schizophrenia is a heavily genetic condition that Andrea was born with the genes for&couldn't have done anything to stop from getting. It's exactly the same as if she was born with juvenile diabetes or an autoimmune disease or anything else that requires lots of continuous medical treatment.

yes, and just like physical illnesses like diabetes, medication and lifestyle can ameliorate the sitution. and just like, specifically, diabetes, trends in the surrounding culture can amplify the pathology.

one of the things that is clearly necessary for genetically crazy people is sleep. and sleep is one of the things that fundies love to deprive women of. but this doesn't get as much attention as a lot of the other fucked up aspects of the subculture, because it's not that much of a deviation from the mainstream. people just generally accept the idea that catastrophic levels of sleep deprivation in new parents is normal, and lowlevel chronic sleep deprivation is a reasonable price to pay for adult life.

I like this thread because people are equal opportunity haters and there's way more calling out of the actual responsibilty parties, the mens, than on freejinger or anywhere on reddit. All those places primarily bash women who are massively brain damaged behind decades of sleep deprivtion.

She made a "there's more to the story" statement and referred to Josh's motion to aquit.

This is a free dumb bitch hating zone and at this point I'm not sure catching up on sleep and changing their lifestyle to a less .. subservient stressful one would cure them of their...brain damage.

(I wrote this reply before I saw the Anna headline above, cuz, well, a blunt bitch that calls it like I see it I guess. I'm not optimistic for the women.)

Anna Duggar has broken her silence following her husband Josh Duggar‘s December 2021 conviction on one count of receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography. The former 19 Kids and Counting star’s wife shared an Instagram post on Thursday, February 3, which simply read, “There is more to the story,” and instructed followers to “see link in bio.”

That took readers to Josh’s motion for acquittal or new trial. In the paperwork obtained by In Touch, Josh’s attorneys argued that the prosecution failed to present evidence that Duggar “knew that the visual depictions were of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.” Prosecutors had argued in trial that some of the images on Josh’s work computer showed minors under the age of 12.
“The evidence elicited at trial does not support a conviction on either count — even in the light most favorable to the Government. Specifically, even accepting arguendo and only for purposes of this motion the allegation that Duggar received and possessed visual depictions of child pornography, the Government failed to adduce any evidence that Duggar ‘knew that the visual depictions were of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct’ — a necessary element for conviction of each count,” the motion claimed.
It also argued that there was no evidence that Josh actually viewed the child porn images allegedly found on his computer. “Indeed, the evidence at trial established that certain files allegedly found on the HP desktop computer were never viewed by any user of the computer and that all the files at issue had been deleted shortly after being downloaded,” the motion read
The paperwork added that “the jury had no evidence that Duggar personally viewed any specific portion of any of the files allegedly found on the computer. As such, there was no evidence of mens rea from which the jury could base its guilty verdict as to each count.”

Josh was arrested on April 29, 2021, when a federal grand jury in Arkansas indicted the former reality star for “knowingly” receiving images of children under the age of 12. He was then charged with one count each of possessing and receiving child pornography. His trial began on November 30, 2021, and concluded on December 9, when he was convicted on both charges. Josh is currently behind bars while awaiting a sentencing date
several of Josh’s siblings came out with critical statements against him following his guilty verdict. Anna did not attend the Duggar family’s annual large Christmas gathering and will be banned from having conjugal visits with her incarcerated husband if he’s sentenced to prison time. Josh faces 40 years behind bars in his case, with each count carrying a maximum of 20 years.
Edit: Sorry for the weird formatting with the article,

She’s praying super hard for a little bit of fetal tissue but doesn’t give two fucks about the brood she already has 🤷🏼‍♀️
PRIORITIES!
Remember when she was just fine with God asking her to ~ sacrifice ~ Androgynyny, but now she's begging for her clump of cells to regain a heartbeat even though Gawd already sacrificed it?

I hope she gets sepsis. I would never wish the horror of a miscarriage on another woman but in this case she literally needs to stop breeding and have her children swiftly pulled from her.

The embryo yeeting itself was by far the best, most humane thing that could've happened to it in the situation. If babies are being left in dirty diapers long enough to almost die of sepsis lord only knows what else is going down in that family.
What a stupid defense. He didn't KNOW it was CSAM! He figured it was just really really super totally young-looking legal age performers!!!
So the defense is basically that Josh can't tell the difference between literal babies/toddlers and grown adults? Lmaoooo

Boob is selling property, for those real estate kiwis who track his businesses. $40k worth of it.

I think his lawyers are more trying to say that Josh wasnt the one downloading or viewing it and still trying to blame it on... A worker.

Pretty sure the fact that his phone put him there texting his family that he was working and he was there alone were compelling to the jury. I recall the jury asking for a calendar and the judge...denied it,but said they can get one off the internet. I'm imagining a boomer that gets the big square type calendar and writes everything in the date box.

So we all know that Josh wasn't supposed to have any kind of smartphone , at least initially that's what the family said after he was released from the Ashley Madison "rehab." He had a simple phone with no internet capabilities.

His "smartphone" was confiscated when the raid happened.

So if his family is all about forgiveness but also accountability, (at least apparently, covenant eyes for example, and their statements to media discussing the matter and Josh's rules when he was released, when the pic of him driving the forklift or something was made public), then why would his brothers leave him alone with a computer with internet?

I know I know it's not his brothers' fault he's a pedo, I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of the family in general.

Anna apparently blamed...everyone but Josh. I wonder if she blamed his brothers? Some tabloid was saying she was blaming Boob and Meech but I find that strange. Why would you even imagine talking back to Boob in his Castle when he's supporting all your kids?

This is a bunch of bullshit; it WAS proven during the trial that files were opened multiple times, and that "Daisy's Destruction" was watched. And you don't just "stumble" onto DD, it's passed around pedo circles for top dollar.

These lawyers are obviously struggling to obey Jim Bob's demand that this thing go away; pulling Anna into their fray is just low.

Let's pretend for a second that Josh is innocent. Then why on earth, when the feds interviewed him, he immediately asks if this is about child porn being found on his devices? So even if somehow it wasn't him and another worker, then why did Josh never report to authorities that a worker of his was downloading CP at the worksite? Even had that been the scenario, Josh still comes out looking like a piece of shit, because he knew a pedophile worker of his used his work computer to download that shit, and then decided the best course of action was to not say anything about it to anyone, and just let the worker keep on downloading child porn.

And also the whole "I didn't know they were minors" is the excuse that every pedophile tries to use. You're not making yourself look good Josh.

The Duggars really need to STFU, as they're just making themselves look worse as they keep trying to defend Josh.

Holy shit, anyone who would get off to that is not just a sick fuck, but straight up evil. Just the text description of its contents is enough to make you sick.

He'd still be guilty of possession if it was on his property and did not immediately get rid of it, much as you are supposed to do if, for instance, you find a pound of heroin. You also can't be willfully ignorant. If someone sells you a genuine Rolex for $100, or pays you five grand just to cross a border with a small handbag, you can't just ignore the obvious sign there's something illegal going on.

Rusty Yates is the actual murderer of his children and you will never, ever, ever convince me otherwise.

In other news, IBLP responded to the abuse lawsuit and of course have been immediately responded to with receipts. Not sure if this was posted yet but for whatever reason my watch thread updates haven't been working.

Then Anna Duggar decided to make it clear how complicit she is and how she is 100% Team Josh.

The link is to the request for acquittal. She is not a poor, brainwashed, scared housewife. She's just really fucking stupid and awful.

Anyways Karissa reminds me of Queen Victoria. Victoria was a notoriously unwell woman as a result of a fucked up "education" (brainwashing) program she was raised in by her mother's... Friend, Sir John Conroy... That was literally designed to make her as useless and dependent on others (him) as possible. The writing was practically on the wall, due to a combination of family deaths and fertility issues, that Victoria would be queen and the idea was to make her so useless that she would need Conroy to be her regent her entire life. Well, it kind of worked, except that she hated Conroy, banished him and her mother, and instead first depended on her first prime minister, then her husband, Albert. She was incredibly obsessed with Albert, and one of the ways she manifested this was through motherhood. She famously hated being a mother, to the point where she would write condolence letters to her adult daughters whenever they got pregnant. But she got pregnant all of the time because she got more of her husband's attention that way. Pregnant women simply get a lot of attention where being a mom without a bun in the oven tends to be more... Thankless, shall we say.

Gothard finally falling from grace? Nah, he's got plenty of brainwashed people still giving him money

When did Boob and Meech have a falling out with Gothard? Or is this just tabloid junk?

When the Duggar family caught the public’s eye in 2004 with its first television special, “14 Children and Pregnant Again,” the lifestyle depicted on screen was alien to many viewers.
Conservative Christian parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar did not use birth control, home-schooled their family, wore “modest” clothing — including ankle-length skirts for the girls — and strictly limited influences from the outside world.

Yet some Americans recognized their own values in the fundamentalist Christian family, as well as the influence of one man: Bill Gothard, founder of the Institute in Basic Life Principles.
Gothard once filled convention centers and earned endorsements from prominent politicians, and some of his followers were living out his values on national television.
The Duggar family has attended and promoted IBLP events on and off camera. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, regular speakers at its semiannual Family Conferences in Big Sandy, Texas, have said Gothard’s teachings “changed our lives.”

But today, the IBLP is losing income, and Gothard, 87, has been forced out over allegations that he abused young women working at its headquarters. And the Duggars’ shows have been canceled: “19 Kids and Counting” in 2015 amid revelations that their eldest son molested four of his sisters as a young teen and “Counting On” last year ahead of his child pornography trial and eventual conviction.

“We do not agree with everything taught by Dr. Bill Gothard or IBLP, but some of the life-changing Biblical principles we learned through IBLP’s ministry have helped us deepen our personal walks with God,” Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar said in a statement.

Dramatic rise and fall
The dramatic rise and decline of the influential fundamentalist ministry and its poster family offer a window into the evolving landscape of American faith.

The Institute in Basic Life Principles began in 1961 as seminars by Gothard, an evangelical minister from Illinois with a master’s degree in Christian education.

Over 30 hours, he taught attendees how to lead successful lives by following his interpretation of Biblical principles and warned them away from television, popular music, alcohol, dating and public schools. The group says more than 2.5 million people have taken the Basic Seminar.

At the heart of Gothard’s teachings was the importance of respecting “God-given authority.” He preached a strict hierarchy of divine authority, with Jesus at the top followed by church elders, employers and husbands, who are responsible for protecting their wives and children below them.
In marriage, a man’s role is to provide “servant leadership” while “the woman responds with reverent submission and assistance,” preached Gothard, who has never married.

Treated 'like a god'

One former member said such teachings are damaging. Elizabeth Hunter, 27, was raised in Greenville, Texas, knowing her future role was to be a wife and mother and that her father would one day help pick her husband.

Hunter said her parents had attended Gothard’s seminars and committed to having no television. Like the Duggars, they home-
chooled their children using the Advanced Training Institute curriculum, which the ministry said was based on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.

The family saw the Duggars and Gothard at biannual IBLP events, where Hunter said Gothard was treated “like a god.”

"Nobody wanted to cross him. They feared him, in a way," said former IBLP follower Elizabeth Hunter of Bill Gothard, above. Institute of Basic Life Principles
“Everywhere he went, everyone credited him with saving their lives, opening their eyes. Everyone swarmed him,” Hunter, who no longer follows the ministry, said.

The IBLP’s programs appealed to conservative Christians who had grown up in the cultural upheaval of the 1960s and ‘70s and mistrusted secular authorities to help them raise their families, said Kristin Kobes Du Mez, a professor of history at Calvin University and author of “Jesus and John Wayne.”

“There is this real market within conservative Protestantism for safe and authoritative advice … Gothard was in at the ground floor of this,” Kobes Du Mez said.

Gothard had prominent supporters. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is quoted on the IBLP website calling the Basic Seminar “some of the best programs available for instilling character into the lives of people.” GOP megadonor Jim Leininger sat on the IBLP advisory board and then-Texas Rep. Sam Johnson on the Board of Directors until 2012.

The Duggars’ wholesome image made them a poster family for the IBLP as their TLC show “19 Kids and Counting” became a ratings hit: Elder daughter Jill Duggar’s two-hour wedding special in 2014 drew an audience of over 4.4 million.

Some saw the Duggars as a curiosity; others felt a connection to their way of life, said Beth Allison Barr, a history professor at Baylor University.

“They could identify with male headship, protecting children from the influences of the world. … The Duggar family epitomized a lot of the struggles that Christian families dealt with,” Barr, author of “The Making of Biblical Womanhood,” said.

Harassment allegations

While the wedding episode was breaking viewing records, the bottom was falling out of the IBLP.

In March 2014, Gothard resigned from the IBLP board of directors amid allegations he had sexually harassed and molested women who worked for the organization.

“My actions of holding of hands, hugs, and touching of feet or hair with young ladies crossed the boundaries of discretion and were wrong,” Gothard said in 2014 in a now-deleted statement on his website that is still linked on his Twitter profile.

The IBLP said an internal investigation it had found no criminal activity but concluded Gothard “had acted in an inappropriate manner” and would no longer have any role in the organization.

Twelve women alleged in a civil suit that they had been sexually, physically or psychologically abused by Gothard as minors and that the IBLP had covered it up. The case was dropped in 2018, but the women's attorney, Jonathan Mincieli, would not give a reason, citing attorney-client privilege.

Amy King still tryna stay relevent - Uwo im getting off social media/Twitter specifically because people don't belive in Jesus, or some nonsense. I wonder how much flak she's getting for lying about Jana and pissing off the Duggars with her statements as of late?

Archive: https://archive.is/wip/r5k0f

Amy Duggar King has been dealing with a lot in the new year.
She has been vocal on social media, and earlier this week, she may have gone too far with a tweet about people who don’t believe in Jesus.
That set backlash into motion, which in turn, had Amy tweeting that she was considering walking away from Twitter. It even included a “goodbye” message.

What did Amy Duggar say that sparked backlash?

After a tough few weeks, Amy Duggar King has taken to social media to vent about what’s happening.
She tweeted, “I truly feel sorry for anyone who doesn’t believe in Jesus. What a terrible life that would be. Devastating without any hope. Jesus says pray for your enemies. I’ve got a lot of praying to do!”
Followers didn’t respond well to her assumptions at all.
One wrote, “I’m an atheist and I live a good, healthy and happy life, we definitely don’t want pity. I feel sorry for the people who won’t get vaccinated and are risking their families and communities health.”
Another responded, “This is so wrong and offensive I’m sorry but who are you judge someone else’s life I thought you were better than that, terrible and no hope because people don’t believe the same I can’t believe you wrote this. [angry face emoji]”

Amy Duggar King says goodbye to Twitter

After receiving the backlash, Amy Duggar King said she was leaving Twitter.
She wrote, “Goodbye Twitterville, I hope in some small way or another I have encouraged you.”
For now, it looks like Amy Duggar King is staying away from that social media platform. She remains unclear about how long she will be gone, but she will be back if past experiences speak to what to expect.

Instagram appears to be where she is staying for now. Amy has been active on her page and in her Stories, mostly sharing updates about her store and family.
There hasn’t been much talk about her famous family, though. Amy hasn’t thrown shade in quite some time and now seems to be focused on distancing herself from all of that.
After her comments about Jana Duggar back in December, things have appeared to go downhill for the former reality TV star.
Twitter may be a thing of the past for Amy Duggar King, but she isn’t done with social media altogether.

Joshie's Iphone tidbits

His family loved and forgave him so much they provided another smartphone for him to watch porn on, what a supportive family.

While Duggar wasn’t officially arrested until April of 2021, he was being investigated as far back as 2019. During that time, he used an Apple iPhone 8. The phone actually ended up becoming a focal point in the case, despite the fact that it was not directly connected to the child pornography found on the work computer. It's complicated, and Duggar's personal laptop was also involved.

When Duggar was still on trial, evidence was presented in court that showed that authorities had also confiscated Josh Duggar’s home computer, an Apple MacBook. Again, no child pornography was found on the former reality star’s personal computer, but what it did contain was a backed up version of Duggar’s iPhone 8. The data found actually allowed authorities to see pictures, texts and more that Josh had sent while in the car dealership office.
Well, this data had GPS locators as well as times and dates. The authorities were then able to compare Josh Duggar’s iPhone usage to times child pornography had been downloaded on the work computer between May 14 and May 16th of 2019. The evidence confirmed Duggar was in the office at the same time child pornography had been downloaded on a work computer he used.

According to the Daily Mail, Duggar’s team argued that his computer could have been “hijacked” or used by another person or former employee in the office at the time. The prosecution argued that idea was a “fantasy.” At the end of the day, Duggar was ultimately convicted following evidence such as this.

Some neat tidbits in Jessa and Ben's home Reno, which apparently used to be grandma's? So they're not in a church hovel?
