I agree. But this fact, coupled with my experiences with a lot of Fundies and their... Interesting... Grasp on both the Bible and the outside world, I strongly suspect they don't read much of the actual book and instead just read the cherry picked passages and quotes approved for them by their headships. I've met multiple Fundies who are shocked, SHOCKED, that Jesus didn't have a super high opinion of rich people and believed people should pay their taxes.

It's also always fun when you tell fundies "allah" is the exact same god as in the bible and that Allah is just the Arabic word for god.

Wonder how RimJob feels with yet another one of his daughters openly calling his golden boy guilty? Have any of his non-pest sons made statements btw, or has it just been the girls so far?

My favorite example of "Fundies accidentally exposing how little of the Bible they read" is a Girl Defined video about dressing and presenting yourselves Biblically. The two idiots are all "Of course the Bible teaches what a woman should NEVER wear!!! Here is the passage!!!"

Well, the passage they chose just so happens to be one that they obviously had not read before because it openly condemned women having their hair in braids.

Guess what the two Midwich-Cuckoo-looking morons had in their hair in the video, while reading that passage?

They quickly tried to cover this by going "Well, what he meant was this type of braid, not ours!" Which only made it even funnier because the whole Fundie schtick is taking the Bible literally and refusing to update your life or practices away from strict Biblical mandates.

And they didn't even have to post this video. They could have 1) Read the passage beforehand so as not to fuck up 2) Re shot the video 3) Not released it.

But they did. And they accidentally stepped into "Liberal" reasoning to backpedal because they were too lazy to actually make sure they weren't violating God's word while trying to preach it to others. It's a real thing of beauty, ISTG.

Yeah you missed it but maybe I did not word it well enough. He said that he did report multiple things and it went nowhere. Also this was years after the actual molestation took place, when it got out, not when it happened. By the time he worked for them, all but Joy were adults. I said "Molestation Leak" because it he worked for them when news of it leaked, not when it actually occurred. By that point the world has learned what had happened and that's when he was brought on.. The Duggars were not rich or famous when the abuse actually happened and certainly could not afford a bodyguard.

Ah, okay. I misunderstood it to be that he was their bodyguard while Josh was molesting the girls.

That said, I still feel like there are a lot of people surrounding this shitshow that are taking advantage of a horrible criminal situation for attention and clout (Famy, the bitch who wrote a whole fucking novel on Reddit about how she hung around all the reporters at the trial and how important it made her feel, etc).
