How does Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions fit into the Wizarding World?
While Portkey Games are not direct adaptations of the books and films, the games are firmly rooted in the magical universe of the Wizarding World. While remaining true to J.K. Rowling’s original vision, Portkey game developers chart new territory by creating fresh ways for fans to immerse themselves in the Wizarding World.
rule.svg

What is Portkey Games?
Portkey Games, from Warner Bros. Games, is the games label dedicated to creating new Wizarding World mobile and videogame experiences that place the player at the center of their own adventure, inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. Portkey Games offers players the opportunity to make their own narrative choices and engage with the Wizarding World setting to discover new and unique experiences. The label was created to bring gamers and fans new gaming experiences that allow them to delve into the Wizarding World in immersive ways where they can create their own magical stories.
rule.svg

What does Portkey mean, and why have you chosen it for this label?
In the Harry Potter series, a Portkey is an object, enchanted to instantly transport anyone touching it to a specific location. Most of the time, a Portkey is an everyday object that would not draw the attention of a Muggle. For Portkey Games, it symbolizes how games under this label will transport fans to their own adventures inspired by the Wizarding World.
rule.svg

What type of games will be developed under Portkey Games?
Portkey Games will enable developers to create a variety of new and immersive gaming experiences that are all inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. These experiences have not been written by J.K. Rowling and will not be direct adaptations of the books and films. These are games that have been created for the fans, by game-makers who themselves are fans of and have been inspired by the Wizarding World.
rule.svg

Are Portkey Games created with J.K. Rowling’s approval?
Each experience offered under Portkey Games will take place in the wizarding world and will be authentic to it. J.K. Rowling is hugely supportive of Portkey Games and has entrusted the design and creation of the games to WB Games and the developers involved.

I got an email for the playtest, along with 5 friend referral code for Steam if anybody wants to PM me for them or say they want one. All gone.

Were Quidditch rules ever reworked to be less retarded? It's basically either one team dominates the other, or a team wins solely due to the efforts of one player who did no sort of teamwork over the match.

I thought it was called quadball now and had all sorts of silly rules like you needed to have equal amounts of men and women and non-binaries on your team and at least one player was required to be LGBTQIA+++?

I didn't even know this was a thing, I'm kind of surprised to hear about two Harry Potter games coming out in a single year. I wonder if it'll see even a little bit of the success Hogwarts Legacy got, or if it'll die out fast like the dozens of other live service PvP games that seem to come out every few months.

No thats only in the movie that explains it poorly. While the gold ball is the win condition the points that come with it are wins. What matters is whole seasons where your total score counts, essentially wins+goals. There's a specific example in the books where he has to prevent the opponent from getting it till they get like 3 goals or whatever so they end the season 10 points up.

I'm kinda shocked theres only been two dedicated quidditch games. That seems like something they'd barf every time there was a new generation or console gimmick.

I dont care about Harry Potter only the seethe it causes for retards. Is anyone mad at this game yet?
If the troons are to be believed, Hogwarts Legacy was a genocidal event that they failed to stop, and its continued success should mean that there are no troons left alive to protest Quidditch Champions.

Still, from my memory individual matches were set up so a goal is 10 points but the Snitch was 180 points, so you need a 19 goals advantage to make the snitch irrelevant.

I remember playing the shit out of that Quidditch game that came out in like 2003. Really fun one, too bad I don't have the disk anymore. Funnily enough, I think that game had the most amount of lore for countries outside UK out of all the media, at least that I know of.
As much as I loved the outrage Legacy brought about, the fact that the game has all these mutts and a tranny and general just failed to make the game feel like it took place in 1800s doesn't give me a whole lot of hope for this one. If anything, I might just see if I can snag a copy of the last game, or fire up an emulator to play it.

Not across whole seasons is what Im saying, is how its explained. across 6 games a season for example you can get like 5 a game and that could change final rankings. Theres also no time or score limits they mention games that go on for weeks obviously the logistics dont work fatigue wise though.

If you're talking about whether the rules are being reworked in this game, I'm not sure I can even answer this due to the whole NDA thing, and WB cracked down on the last leak.
