Alec, it was wonderful of you to give Lars a good job, indeed a dream job, after all he put "you" through with multiple relapses (and a prior bad act that Chris immediately compared to an episode of South Park). THAT is character development. Well done.
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, dog.

I know she was trying to meet him, so I wonder what would have happened if it actually went down.
I doubt there was ever any risk of a meeting. Jackie promised Chris sex if he made an extremely lazy video every day in October. He was allowed to be as lazy as possible and it still turned out to be too much work.

Yeah, suddenly Chris, who rarely cares about wasting money unless doing so would inconvenience him, is all concerned about the gas money it would have taken him to drive to Alderman Library every day to upload the videos on time. OMG 25 miles? ONOEZ. No wonder AlecJack friendzoned him -- that probably wasn't even Chris's concern as much as it was Barb's.

Double post because it was Alec who was primarily Jackie.
I've been qurious for a while so I've just got to ask: what was with all the bitching in the emails? Was it just genuine frustration or did you plan it that way? I mean, I get why you'd push him off to get away from topics like meeting up, but being that adamant about him giving up the PS3? Anyone could tell you that's barking up the wrong tree.

Maybe I've just got the wrong idea about things, but if kissing his ass would be enough to set some wheels into action then, hey, you've got to break a few eggs right?

The way I see it, Kacey and Jackie were like a one-two punch meant to break down Chris's idea that women would gleefully and mindlessly submit to him in a relationship. Quite the contrary; in fact, for all his efforts, Chris gets totally dominated by them.

Chris is pretty good at coming up with excuses for why he can't do something, even though he's done it plenty before and the excuse never came up then. He's like a crappily written comic book that way.

To be fair that's like an hour of straight driving every day. It does drink up gas.

I don't really like to use the term "friendzone" because it's not necessarily a real thing, but I understand what you mean. And yeah, if you're not going to go to him, even if you're the damn library, he won't bother. Barb not letting him for DC leave was probably an excuse.

Yeah, I think that might've been Kacey's motivation, although, like everyone else, I wasn't very satisfied with how she was pulling it off. Hell, if you want to bitch at Chris, go ahead, but my big concern was that she would interrupt both Liquid and Chris right as things were getting funny. But anyway, that's been discussed to death.

Jackie, on the other hand, was us mostly experimenting with Chris' beliefs and how flexible he'd be on different things for the sake of pussy. What will he do to impress a girl? We found out that, sometimes he'll stick to his beliefs and argue with her, sometimes he'll say "hmm, yeah, OK," and just correct her later in an email, where she can't immediately retort, and sometimes he'll just outright lie and say he's OK with something, but have no intent to actually stick to his words.

And of course, we learned you can almost never persuade Chris to change his position on something. I mean, it's hard to persuade other people, but even so, you can have a debate with someone and sometimes someone can provide a convincing enough argument to get you to change your mind. Never happens with Chris. He's always right. At most, he'll sometimes pick things up from TV or his family.

See, what we learned a long time ago is that kissing Chris' ass won't get you results. If you kiss his ass, he's satisfied. He'll just sit down and flatten out into a blob of laziness. You have to make him think his potential pussy is on shaky ground and he has to work his ass off to impress her.

Jackie is a troll. Her pictures are ripped directly from porn sites (I see that same set all the time).

Could you post a link to the set, or a name to google? For research purposes only, of course.

Hey, thanks for the reply!

I guess when I say "content" I really mean anything new he can produce; it doesn't have to be videos or comics. Chris can be exceptionally funny almost entirely on his own, all we need is a window. The best parts of the correspondence have been, to my mind, the middle parts where you just kinda go "that's interesting, do go on" and he reveals things about his relationship with his parents or what bullies did to him in school.

Oh, sure, that's good stuff too. And with our access, we'll talk about that kind of stuff. I guess in general we just want to keep up his interest. If he feels like he's won her, he'll start pushing for an IRL meetup and he'll start wondering what's taking so long. When you make Chris work for it, you can justify to him why you're not meeting up. Chris isn't "dedicated" enough to Sarah, why should she spend a bunch of money to visit him if he won't do this for her? And then in the meanwhile, you can get interesting details about Chris' home life or whatever.

Yeah, I guess I should probably just shut my mouth and be thankful, you guys know what you're doing. I guess part of me just feels bad for him when he gets completely berated on, but of course I realize you must keep him at a distance to keep up the charade. There might also be something about nagging that just annoys a lot of people in general, but that's the price you have to pay, right?

Second, what's up with Kacey? So is she just some chubby girl that got bored and decided to troll Chris? Was all of that stuff with Liquid Snake real or not (like did they know each other and decided to troll him together or was this completely separate)?

From what I recall, they met through the trolling and then got married afterward in real life. Which is very ironic.
Serious? So that's two couples he's gotten married. Is Chris some tragic version of Cupid with the ability to bring love to others but never to himself?

One trait I've noticed in Chris is that he hates being told or made to do things. He'll happily do things of his own accord, but the moment some outside influence tries to make him do something, no matter how minor, the barriers go up...... "I'm workin on it"

They've done studies where they take two groups of people who hold the same belief about something, then give one group information that debunks that belief, and another group stays the control group with no new information. The group that was given the information that debunks their belief later rates their conviction in their original belief as having increased, as opposed to the control group, where there is no change.

Whatever this phenomenon is, I think it's zapping to the extreme in Chris' brain.

Hmm. This could be Chris having a reflexive reaction to any authority because his parents pretty much tried to leash him like a dog and dictate his life even as an adult.

Oh no, not in the world at large -- but in Chris's mind, especially given his linear thinking about human relationships, it's real. I've been reading too many of the CWCki articles that are done from Chris's perspective, I suppose. I was really thinking of how "friendzone" got thrown around when Chris decided Jackie was too much effort, and then "she" replied that Chris was the one who had done the "friendzoning," to which he retorted that he still wanted sex to be an option.

Holdek, I can totally see how the library trip would eat up gas if he had had to do it every day. "Jackie," however, made the excellent point that if he had wanted to scrape together the money for a new PC as deeply and fervently as he had wanted to replace his PS3 (which he did within like 3 days IIRC), none of the driving back and forth would have been necessary. Of course, the iDea photos show us that he has a pretty bad idea of which technology he actually needs in his life.
