Putin warns global situation ‘deteriorating’

The international situation has been “increasingly deteriorating,” Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned, citing old conflicts reigniting and new emerging flashpoints.

The president made the remarks on Thursday at a ceremony to receive the letters of credence from the new ambassadors of more than 30 nations, including from multiple countries designated as “unfriendly” by Russia. Putin spoke about global security challenges, stating that international cooperation remains one of the key factors of sustainable development and prosperity of humankind.

“Peace doesn’t come by itself, it’s built, and every day. Peace requires effort, responsibility, and conscious choice. The relevance of this is obvious, especially now, when the situation on the international stage is increasingly deteriorating – I believe no one would argue with that – old conflicts are intensifying, and new serious flashpoints are emerging,” the president stated.

In the modern world, diplomacy and a search for consensus are “being replaced by unilateral, and quite dangerous, actions,” Putin added. Many countries face the dictate of those taking the “might makes right” approach, he said.

“Dozens of countries around the world suffer from violation of their sovereign rights, from chaos and lawlessness, and do not have the strength and resources to stand up for themselves,” the president stated.

The Russian leader called upon all members of the global community to adhere to international law, urging them to support the “emerging, more just multipolar world order.”The president invoked the Ukraine conflict in his speech, listing it as one of the examples of breaching the “indivisibility of security”principle, which outlines that the security of one nation cannot be achieved at the expense of others.

“This was clearly demonstrated by the crisis around Ukraine, which was a direct consequence of years of ignoring Russia’s legitimate interests and a deliberate course of threatening our security and advancing NATO toward Russia’s borders – contrary to the public promises made to us,” he said while reaffirming Moscow’s commitment to reaching a lasting, sustainable peace in Ukraine.

Im sure some people see me as a Putin supporter for thinking hes going to win Ukraine, but trying to appeal to some international order four years deep into a bloody, brutal conflict that borders on genocide simply because of your own inability to finish the job while any enemies are still standing is just…
No, only NAFO fags conflate recognizing that Putin will win because Russia has the ability to send as many men to die as it takes to get their way, and Ukraine just can’t match that manpower pool.

Also, not a genocide. It’s a war of conquest with an ethnostate. Important difference. Don’t use “genocide” as a word of power like a troon, it’s passé.

Pot Kettle Black. This guy has no self awareness or whatever. Guess presidents for life don't worry about anything really though.
Yeah, when Tacticus wrote the line "To theft, rapine, and slaughter they deceitfully name Empire, and even when they make a desert they call it peace" it sure wasn't about Russia at all but I'll be damned if Putin isn't trying his best to make it that way.

You're right. He is going to win if he just keeps throwing bodies into the grinder, but due to the cost in lives and blood I'm not sure its going to be anything that could be called a victory. The Russian economy is running so well there's 21% interest rates to try and keep inflation in check, and labor shortages from all the people getting blown up for an inch of a soil at a time are getting to the point there's open calls for Elite Human Capital to be imported.

Man, it's almost like invading your neighbor might have been a bad idea, huh Putin? "Why is everything on fire", says the man who poured gasoline on everything and threw a match on it.

I don't even care about Ukraine/Russia sperging, but lol, you can't even take a country whose one of main exports was child porn. Opinion disregarded.

The only reason the term Pyrrhic Victory isn’t Russian Victory is because the term is pretty much set in stone. When the Russians win at war it is at such a staggering cost it would make Pyrrhos of Epeiros think he did well in his war against Rome.

The thing is, if the initial operation worked it would have been a good idea. It didn’t, though, so it was a bad idea.
