i wonder what the average time it takes to get to latest content without money is, i think it took me a good 1-2 months of playing and this was during clear all cathy so it wasnt actually that many cantos, now with 3 more cantos since then and especially with ones like hongyuan being so long it must be a grueling journey to the latest content. maybe if you just pull a modern unit tho it is actually faster than before since the powercreep is so absurd, i bet you could form a small envy team and luck into getting ricardocliff and then use the 00 meursalt and hopefully get atleast one 000 middle id and fill in some envy res sinners to just fly through the game. of course this would require coaching since you wouldnt even know what an envy team is starting out but thats probably the best bet other than joining during wp and making new accounts until you get lucky.

three full level 60 teams? in this economy? yeah this mode sucks. the comedy of it all that the rewards are exp tickets (and not even enough to recoup your losses on upgrading teams to actually beat it).
Honestly my biggest gripe with this mode is the rewards. Like it just gives xp tickets and thread (and skin currency on hard mode) alongside 150 lunacy if you reach the min turn count but that doesn’t really feel rewarding. Would have been better if extraction tickets were a reward even if just locked to hard mode.
Another more major gripe I have with the game mode is a lack of replayability, or rather reason to replay it. Ok so you got the min turn and got all the rewards. Now what? Do you keep going and see if you can get the turn count lower? No, realistically you probably fuck off back to the lux and md mines. Something that would legitimately help this game mode be something people play more than just once or twice would be event currency. If clearing it gave event currency (not burnt in lenses I mean the currency of whatever event the boss is associated with) then people would probably have a helluva lot more reason to farm it out.
This mode is also just a watered down RR. I supposed that this mode is also a "RR", but that's besides the point. Railroad was fun and you got cosmetics to flex on everyone.
I don't use them though because I'm bad at the game
Also, I'm like 10% sure railroad is mentioned in the story. Might be wrong, but Reflection just kinda seemed thrown out to give threadskin and waste resources.

I began playing this on New Years Day, and it took me until the release day of part 3 of canto 9 to get to canto 9, with my only purchase before that being the season pass. The first banner I rolled on was the Index Faust/Udjat Outis one. By the time I was fully caught up, I had enough lunacy and tickets from everything to roll on every banner and get all the new ID’s up until Index Yi Sang, including getting a pity on Pinky Sinclair, with some left over for Walpurgisnacht.
Also the first 2 3 star Id’s I pulled were Butler Ryoshu and WCorp Yi Sang. Those two were enough to carry me up until canto 5 more or less
Speaking of that system, kind of funny how the first ego to get threadspin 5 is the one from the promotional material used as an incentive for preregistration rewards, along with Blade Lineage Yi Sang.
Especially considering that low cost, rolling a 37, an easily reachable +2 power conditional, 3 attack weight, an easily reachable 100% damage conditional, a decent corrosion, and a good passive is already a bit over the curve already by the standards of EGO. The Director already showed off that Yi Sang's 4th Match Flame will give him clash power alongside it having higher power, doing slightly more burn, and having a new 'Blazing' buff applied to Yi Sang on Corrosion.
Really all of the Season 1 EGOs except for Sinclair's Chicken Soup, Impending day,and Yi Sang's 4th Match Flame are strong. Season 3 didn't have many stand out EGOs, even then it was followed up by Season 4. Really I think since then we haven't gotten many really strong EGO outside of 1 per season.

I think people are missing the point of these, which is a relatively easy to spin up event that gives you something to bump your head against. Especially with units that are already mapped and animated, I suspect we're going to get a number of these in the future that are revamps of classics. The middle change up was obviously a proof of concept, given it's good reception it's probably only a matter of time before well

I finally beat library of ruina today, had to cheat to do it but ive been stuck on the game for a year or so now and i just wanted to see the ending. in retrospect i am glad i cheated because holy shit nobody told me the ending was that long, i like difficulty in games but that is just obscene the amount of fights they make you do. has anyone here actually beaten the true ending without cheats? it just seems like hell to do legit with how specific you would have to make your decks, i dont like how simplified limbuses combat is but atleast we dont have to craft librarians in limbus. im one step closer to not being a poser, i just need to beat lobotomy corporation now and i will be a true project moon appreciator which will give my critiques on limbuses shitty gacha mechanics alot more flair.
It could be due to me just playing the game off and on for a year now and having forgotten things but i dont really see what all the fuss is about rolands character, i like him as a character but for all hes hyped up to be i just dont think hes that interesting. the reveal that he only entered the library to kill the cause behind the distortions was a bit too predictable (or maybe i got spoiled on that part and just dont remember it), i think angela is more interesting of a character than roland. angela has so much more backstory and interesting motivation and perspective than roland i just find it weird that people focus so much on roland, it could just be that nobody actually takes the time to beat or so much as play ruina and just knows his character from memes thougheverdoebeit.
ive just read the bad endings since i didnt take the time to get them before doing the true ending, they are both so kino. im glad the true ending is a happy ending since they very well could have made it be that angela is fully absorbed in the light while fixing everything and just have roland be killed by the distorted ensemble or the head but its nice they did leave it off on a happy note. i do wonder what happens now to the librarians, i dont think it was very clear wether or not they were made human again but id assume since angela didnt become human neither did they. the ending where angela leaves roland and becomes fully human is so good, her getting demoted to a star of the city and just becoming any other average city horror is so interesting, and bari being the one that finally gives her death is cool too (i wonder if they had bari's character written out at this point or if they just used a random design they had for a fixer?) the roland bad ending is very good aswell, just mirroring the banality of him completing his goal like in angelas albeit with his death being far less honorable.
the fight with the head was extremely good, all the interactions between the head and the librarians was one of the best parts of the entire game in my opinion. zenas voice actor is godlike she has such a smooth laid back voice she plays the character so well, its a shame we wont ever really get to hear much of her and even when we do it will probably be short lived (i assume we will kill the head towards the end to liberate the city and allow angela to come back). also this is probably completely retarded but i wonder if its even slightly a possibility that dante is roland since at the end he talks about wanting to write a book about the city and thats basically what dante is doing (the more i think about this the less it makes sense).
im surprised how little argalia was as a character and i think him being a letdown of a character is what makes me disinterested in roland. i assumed the main hinge of rolands character would be this rivalry with argalia but they barely anything happens once they finally confront eachother. its interesting how iori knew so much ahead of time to the point she knew that angela would eventually revert the process of turning everyone into books and putting her faith into roland making the right choice, shes such a weird character and i almost feel like she only exists as a reference to that one touhou character and also as a ace in the hole for when they need to explain themselves out of a mistake in the narrative in the future.

this design is so fucking cool, i dont know if its meant to be distortion or what but its so badass, for all people like to talk about roland i never saw anyone spoil this even though its literally the coolest thing ever. the way he just pops up out of no-where when you confront roland is so crazy. pm has alot of goofy designs for abnormalities and such but they can be creepy when they really try, theres just something about surreal looking monsters being put alongside cartoony characters that is so creepy (when its done well of course, not like how shitty mascot horror games think thats the only thing there is to horror)

is lobotomy corporation harder than ruina? i want to try beating it legit but everyone ive known who has beaten it has just told me to play with mods that make it easier, i used to think it was the japanese who likes hard games with their shmups and rpgs but i feel like it would be easier to 1cc a touhou game than to beat ruinas true ending without cheating

To me, Ruina is the easier game because nearly every floor has a broken build around Star of the City and Gebra can literally solo fights once she gets the Red Mist page and slap some good passives on her.
Lob corp is just learning what abnos you can deal with while pushing through until you need to reset to do it again, but faster

It would benefit from one of two things: an online scoreboard with weekly progress during the event period to let autists battle it out for the highest score (and maybe a sticker or something for the highest scores) or modifiers to make the fight harder in exchange for better rewards. Most other gacha games have at least one of the two.
Speaking of that, makes me wonder what the new game mode that they are planning to release later is going to be like and if it will have any sort of online interaction. I know it won't, but a man can dream.

I didn't use cheats and decided to handicap myself by not allowing edits to the builds of librarians between floors on the Ensemble. A great chunk of the difficulty comes from you needing to understand the enemy you are going against and the floor you are playing with. While during most of the story you can use whatever floor you want to and that can build a bad habit of not learning other floors. I couldn't really figure out how to use the floor of social sciences and that's why I remember struggling against its bosses.
