I really don't want to have gods in the setting, the dystopia was good enough. It also really ruins Yan's plot from Ruina since what broke him was the revelation that the whole Index are insane people following literal RNG as gospel.

I kinda disagree but agree in a way. We already have gods. But the new introduction of the gods is probably foreshadowing for outis's canto where the will of the city poseidon version fucks over her

I think the dystopia of where every religious organization end up in blood and failure ala church of gears and index will ultimately fail in blood and pain due to the will of a higher entity. The introduction of gods turns the city more like 40k instead of cyberpunk. But to be frank we've been having religious themes n shit but all of them have been abnos and then boom the 12 Olympians are the gods. I wonder if theres a ruling god for each district n corp has helios
 
Keep forgetting to say it, but pretty funny the game does have a legitimate strategy of "simply match all colours" with Envy teams, after first season it was a noob trap.

I forgot Outis has connection to the greek pantheon. Still I think the Abno gods are more of an acceptable external threat that can be interpreted as a god, than some supposedly native to the universe gods that will bring their own can of worms.

Wait, now that I think about it, 100 sins. Isn’t that like proof that Jesus exists? Don’t get me wrong, checks out with Korea - but like, if that’s the case, then isn’t the ultimate answer to the dystopia the love of Christ?

The fact that Dante and the sinners don’t understand this is very disturbing. Instead of violence, there should be a diplomacy skill check game where you introduce the house of spiders to community service vs. being retarded faggots and investing countless time and money into an autistic woman.

Outis also has some Hermes themeing. She holds her watch the same way Rien does his prescript device, she's associated with the caduceus which if Herme's staff, she's tied to the Udjat and Rien's passives reveal Dias/The Udjat was working with Hermes as well. Rien and Outis both also mean 'nothing', as in they essentially have the same name. Also in the Odyssey Penelope was crafting herself a burial shroud using a loom, so I think there's a decent chance her equivalent was drafted to become a Weaver.
Like Rien, Outis could also have been molded to take on someone's role, with Male!Penlope being held hostage as a Weaver in order to ensure Outis, someone much less loyal than Rien, stays the course.

to be clear “gods of city” are what they are referred to in string theocracy. Whatever is sending the signals is probably equally bizarre and aren’t like, Zeus with a pager or something.

I’m just pointing out there are possibly multiple ones going on simultaneously. This one just had a name; which literally means “messenger”

Alternatively I might just be totally wrong and Hermes winds up being a Rastafarian being forced to enter pager commands at Yan-point

Abnos are essentially the product of dosing an MK ultra victim with LSD until they transform into the psychic gestalt average of a concept. Well, sometimes. Sins is redemption and a perpetual reminder to Ayin to not use Carmen’s sacrifice to make cool dinosaurs and shit.
 
This canto was probably the easiest. Its a shame that dons canto was ruined by red coin bleed spam. I have a friend that almost quit because of it. They just got through it.

They literally mention that several "gods" live in the city and that the smoke monster from old l corp might have been one of them.
And Yan didn't distort because the index were a bunch of schizos, he broke because he realized that the people of the city want others to be miserable and in constant suffering and the machines just translate that into actual words for the index and that no matter what he did he could not stop the city from being a shit place so why bother resisting.
 
The city can’t be that bad. They got hamburger joints and all the homeless people who jack off in the street get eaten. I guess you get taxed nonstop and transportation takes millions of years.

So honestly, sounds like a better version of California.

Who knew that:

The only IDs that got a pop last season were LeiSault and KongLu, how funny that basing them off cool characters with cool and tough fights gets people interested.

I'm looking out for the stories of these IDs, because RenClair will almost certainly confirm who got Dihui Star (if it isn't Ryoshu's capstone ID), and GregHeim will likely confirm who got Albina and Callisto (probably Faust and Hong Lu). Process of elimination then lets us know who got Lucio and Valencina too (probably Heathcliff and Rodion).
 
Remember Ryoshu stealing the season 1 BP capstone EGO from Greg? Greg responded by stealing Ryoshu's Canto from her...how ironic.
