There's lots of characters in the new canto, seemingly every godfather has his/her own apprentice, so the doll might be the Ring's apprentice (probably the case). Seasonal Ids will probably have sinners as those apprentices (sadly there's already a Middle Don).

I wonder what is the goal of the entire program is. Something at the very least Color equivalent of a distortion.

Also how old is Ryoshu is? I thought she's late 30s, but that would make all the godfathers at least 60.

They're anime-esq characters, they barely visually age. Valencia's one eyebag is all you're going to get. I think I saw a wrinkle of Ryoshu's dad and Matthias seems to have slightly greyed tanned skin, which I think is supposed to show some aging. The only ones who I thought looked a bit young for their age was Ryoshu's mom/Dihui Star and she's wearing some sort of illusion/hologram thingy.

Yeah, if you're talking about the second boss in 9-18, she is.

So far we've seen:
One for each finger except the Index
The Thumb Apprentice, Lucio, who's entire purpose is just to mimic young Ryoshu's fighting style
The Pinky Apprentice, Ren, who we fight in 9-18
The Ring Apprentice, Albina, who we also fight in 9-18
The Middle Apprentice, Kira

That only leaves out the Index apprentice, who probably has a bigger role in the story due to their absence, just like the Index Nursefather does

There are leaks to prove this along with some other information.

Don will be getting an ID next for an Index Proxy. The EGO of which I can only imagine to be similar to what Yan's page in Ruina looks like.

If we get a repeat of the Heishou spam but with Index IDs I'd be fine with it. The Index are gemmy enough. Singleton + unlock VVILL make a return and become the meta, trust in the plan

Schizo theory is that Ryoshu's season ID will be her taking over as the Index Nursefather o algo and becoming Lord Hong Lu of Index

Very interesting, can't decide if all the glitches are just to block spoilers of the Index Apprentice & the future Canto 9 parts, or if she's just like that

Anyways, for anyone that didn't catch it, at 0:31, which I assume is her skill 3-2, you can see massive claw marks attacking the enemy, so I assume she can power up to become more like Distorted Yan

It's an interesting theory. Don is the biggest case of set origin so her joining the Index or being born after Ryoshu is a massive rift in reality.

Alternatively, Yan might be the missing apprentice, or even better, getting Distorted was something he was groomed into by his godparent.

Anyways I can see Don breaking by the Discovery that everything she went through was the result of a random number generator even before becoming an Index.

But yeah I think thats Yan. She has chain hands like him, is called an Index [Device] which might be a new rank they have for Distortions or EGOists in their organization, she has glitchy effects and then there's the claws. Although my personal theory is that since she's a [Device] not an apprentice, that Yan isn't the fill-in apprentice for Ryoshu's dad, he's just taking him alongside the mission to be used as a tool.
Ryoshu did seem rather close with him, and unlike Valencia he might want to see Ryoshu enter the fold, so unlike the others he might not have taken on a new apprentice. Maybe some of the others like Matthias or the Ring Uncle want her back in since they seemed to have a better relationship with her. But in their cases Matt's apprentice is his own daughter so I don't think he'd pass up being her mentor, and the Ring Uncle is a Maestro of the Ring and they do have a sort of teacher theme going on. So him not taking on a new apprentice might have been gauche by Ring standards.

My personal theory is that the Index is starting to produce distortions loyal to them enmasse with prescripts using Yan as a base.
I don't necessarily think it is Yan, but they could have been created using Yan/a similar method to how Yan was created. Although there is a distinct possibility it could very well just be Yan but restrained for some reason, probably as to not harm Ryoshu too much.

Shr's probably the daughter, hairstyle is similar to the ???? announcer and seems to fit the %#<#>,=& garbage that ryoshu suffers from
