I was able to get solemn lament yi sang at the last minute by sharding him.

He looks really cool with two guns. I will try bringing him as I finished Canto 6.

Speaking about that, I can say for sure that the intervallo before that (Bamboo hat Kim's intervallo) is quite intriguing, and I will forever be scared by Kim's Blade Dance and Thy Blade Consumed spam when I fight him on Mirror Dungeon.
 
I still think that Heath should have been another animal even though I think the rooster's bloodthirsty attitude somewhat fits hit character.
Maybe the interaction between him and Sinclair in the uptie story is supposed to mirror the master/student interaction they had during the spring cultivation event? Tbh, I was really excited for a surprise Drunken Master Cliff.

Got felted at the Don uptie story. I guess anyone can become zoo crew members.

if thats actually its name that makes it sound like the index has some sort of hierarchy which is against the very idea of the faction also that design isnt very index like, wheres the oversized robe? i hope when it comes to the index in limbus company they keep it simple since theyre one of the most understandable factions and id hate for it to have some gay addendum added in to make it more understandable for those who didnt play ruina

if they do end up adding more lore onto the index when they show up i atleast hope they explore more of the storyline from ruina, i would much prefer if they keep it so that the index weavers are just as clueless as the messengers but if they had to do some expanded lore to make them a bigger faction then i think they could do alot with moirai as she definitely seemed to know more than she was letting on. i always wondered why the weavers existed in the first place since it seems like you could easily automate the production line of creating prescripts and i dont doubt that the chamber would be swarming with proxies if its sactity was ever in danger

Ruina definitely showed they have some rudimentary form of a hierarchy, e.g. Proselytes vs Proxies. The main difference compared to the other fingers seemed to be that how they place in the hierarchy is determined solely by what a prescript tells them to do

Yeah I'd like if they saved Index lore for a later non-Gacha game where they can ensure they won't butcher it because of live-service constraints. "They follow the will of the city o algo" is enough explanation for the gachafags

tbh the leaked character looks like an East ring docent or a maestro
It seems that associations and syndicate styles change with the Nest's cultures
South thumb uses ammo for guns while east thumb uses them for their swords and spears
South Shi association uses swords while East shi uses bow-blades

If that file names list I saw was real, "Father" is not an exclusive title to any of the fingers because there was a file name (ie Middle Father, Ring Father, Thumb Father) for every finger except Pinky iirc. It seems to be something related to Ryoshu's story and not a rank.

I think it refers to the mentors at the Spider's House. Probably high-ranking members from all the Fingers that came together to mentor the kids over there, like they did for Ryoshu(?)

So far there are three theories
Daughter is alive, Ryoshu was made to believe she was dead for reasons unknown
Daughter is dead and Ryoshu killed her via proxy without meaning to/She meant to kill her but was promised something
Daughter is dead but will be revived using the bough and Ryoshu will be forced to kill her with her own hands

Third theory is my favorite, and it's what I'm betting will happen. Or at the very least, Ryoshu will kill her daughter, maybe in a "putting her out of her misery" way.

I think regardless of the daughter's status going in the Canto, the worst possible writing decision they could make is keeping her alive and safe by the end. There'd just be no consequences for Ryoshu, unlike even Hong Lu who despite having the most "wholesome" Canto, was still brainwashed from birth, forced to watch a massacre, and had his entire worldview shattered. It'd just make the Canto really mid, even if you fill it to the brim with random edgy or hype moments.
To put it simply: If Ryoshu’s daughter is alive and relatively okay (just traumatized/separated), then her suffering is retrospective. It becomes "Oh no, I was a bad mom for leaving you [or X other reason], but we can fix it now", which is just boring in my opinion

I have a few theories I'd rather not see:
Ryoshu is the monkey that shared a name with Yoshihide

There are two Ryoshus/Yoshihides to reflect the Kumo/Aka season name, or split identity bullshit

The Hell Screen will be based on cantos 1 through 8 to reflect the eight Buddhist hells,
Hopefully by writing them down I've warded them off. The only Canto I'd consider reasonably predictable was Don's, as it acted as a "continuation" of the novel.

I believe that her daughter is "alive" as some kind of Tzimisce style exhibition (maybe there's a Bloodfiend Clan associated with the Ring?) stuck in perpetual agony as a mutilated flesh painting. Would be a good demonstration of the Ring's cruelty.

I don't know about previously being a Heishou, but Ryoshu is probably talking about Xue Baochai, Hong Lu's fiance, since Diyu was her bodyguard. Which of course, combined with his rabid-ness when killing her makes him look terrifying and villainous to this Ryoshu. Although it makes me even more interested in if our Ryoshu was married before.
Daiyu is a bit of a funny choice since in other Mirror World's like W Corp's, Hong Lu has expressed romantic interest in Ryoshu, only to be shot down every time.
