It isn't too bad, and not like the game ever had an actual pace. But it's such a fucking waste of resources for no justifiable reason. Hong Lu being the author favourite turned this arc into a cancer with having an entire cast of non-characters with non-plot, and no real event besides teasing about a war of the rings that won't happen until 2027.

The main issue with the game is that combat is just fucking broken. Half the new characters are based on having more than one attack every turn, despite the whole idea is that characters should be replaceable. This devolves every combat (at least the 5% that isn't devolved into winrate) into either ignoring most of the character abilities and out clashing the boss, or going with half party and cheesing it in 4 turns.

Exactly, I think the picks for the actual IDs have been mediocre too
We have 2 Si IDs, 3 Mao IDs, 1 Wu ID and 1 You ID
They teased the other Heishou branches, yet they decide to give us another You branch ID? Even if it's an Adept, it just feels mid. Why not give us Chou (ox), Chen (dragon), Shen (monkey) etc... branch IDs for variety, show everyone what the Heishou branches are really like, and end off the whole Heishou ID trend for good with this Season? Because I think just about everyone has had enough of them by now, and I'd really prefer if they didn't drop Heishou IDs in the future Seasons, atleast not for a long while
I wouldn't even really mind the Heishou being faceless background characters if they atleast gave us variety with the branches. Sadly they stuck to mostly the same 3 for the entire season
 
The ID problem is a problem as old as the game honestly, Yi Sang had a whole season with nothing burger IDs that peaked with the Dongbaek spicebush.
My personal take is that we are all aware that PM is more than capable of being consistently putting up content, but by choice or by incompetence decides not to, KJH is being sloppy by sticking to a system of releases that worked when they started small, but this is now a very popular franchise and they seem to overstimate how consistent in quality their cantos are (Writing wise)
Everyone is just getting burned out from waiting and all it will take is a major fuck up to happen to completely blackpill the fence sitters

It doesn't really matter because the whole Heishou line is shit, barring Faust. Being Rupture dependent means that they are only usable if you decide to autistically micromanage them, and nothing really is worth it besides bosses that "just so happen" to all have -90% damage from status effects (which is in itself annoying since non Rupture status effects have significantly lower damage as it is).

The devs managed to do the Bloodfiends well with the blood pool mechanic, I have no idea why they dropped the ball so hard. Edgy Hong Lu is the worst seasonal ID design wise, since his only shtick is being alive for the double attacks.
 
At this point Kim is so embroiled and overtaken by jewery that so long as "number goes up" is in effect—quality be damned—he will continue to make choices like the ones we've seen during this season.

I wonder if we'll get another melty from him like the last time. If so, it'll look far slimier than before I think, seeing as he looked quite happy and content during the Mili concert.
 
Hong Kong and his Zoo Crew have been the most boring Canto ID to date. Half the ID stories are just "yeah, shits fucked but m'lord told me to slice and dice this dude so I will do as he wish"

If there's going to be 4 more Zoo Crew IDs before season end, that means that Ish is going to get a Zoo Crew ID which is complete BS because she already has synergy as Xichun with Horse Sang and the Spring Cultivation EGO gifts. KJH what the hell are you doing?

Wut? The season's almost over. Cockcliff is going to be the 20th ID this season, compared to Season 5's 21 IDs including 00s. At most I expect 1 more banner after this one before Season 7. Even if it's another Heishou ID, I'd expect Meur or Don before Ish. Season 7 could be delayed, but at this point they'd have to announce it during the anniversary stream, which would be a shitshow. After Season 6, any new Heishous would most likely come from the BokGaks, but I doubt it. Nocturnal Sweeping screams Ricardo ID, and Spring Cultivation will probably be Night Drifter.
 
"Happy 9th birthday Project Moon fans! We are delaying Season 7." yeah that would go well, i honestly want to see it. Though they said there won't be anything "groundbreaking" revealed so just as they won't reveal anything incredibly hype, they probably wont reveal something so disappointing either. If it's getting delayed they're probably gonna wait like a week before middle of december to announce it, because of course

Heishou Ishmael sounds like the kind of ID they'd release out of nowhere as a Season 0/filler banner in like 2 years just to not leave the Heishou team unfinished

some things announced so far in stream
  • next ID's are Adept Cockcliff and Wei (ram) Don
  • Refraction Railway 1 rerun is coming next week and will be a permanent addition, besides increased levels there'll be minimal changes
  • Canto 9 is aimed to release on New Years Eve and the Battlepass art was shown, it is the companies current focus but are curently nervous of quality due to time constraints

  • Revive feature for story, if all units die can revive them and continue with the encounter with the catch being you wont get the rewards for that encounter
  • Walpurgis will be changed to occur more often, with new ID's / EGO's being released every 2 months and new story content being released every 4 months
  • Looking to add new, reoccuring content, current next plans are a multi-team boss rush (similar to RR5) and an autobattler where you pick up ID's to use as you progress
  • EGO uptie 5, to be released in batches and focusing on weaker EGOs first (example given was Forth Match Flame Yi Sang)

meta stuff revolving around PM
  • looking to increase the number of exhibitions, events and merchandise available
  • next major project the company is working on is a 3D action RPG focusing on an assortment of smaller events happening around the city
  • the land for the new office has been bought in Seoul and construction is ongoing
  • excess profits will be used to fully pay back all investors next year and PM will then be a fully independant company
  • PM expects to be able to move into the new office sometime in late 2027
  • Anime to be developed in-studio

The EGO looks gorgeous but this sounds like bad news, someone needs to slap the shit out of me and tell me I'm dooming too hard.

The Battle Pass art is sick. Canto 9 being delayed by 2 weeks to the end of December is fine, though hearing them say they're worried about the quality IS kinda grim.
Walpurgis happening every 2 months instead of 4 could mean they'll backtrack in the Library of Ruina receptions for the IDs. Also probably means EGO only Walps could be a thing.

New IDs are fine, Cockcliff is just Cockclair but with a skill 3-2(? or just a powered up Skill 3), still a burn Heathcliff at the end of the day

I'm not really sure on Wei Don, though, is she tremor? I couldn't catch any Tremor Burst effects, but I don't know what other status she'd be

I'm just happy that the dumb counter clock theory continues to be used, its basically real at this point. Which means we'll have a back facing Meursault next season...I can't wait.
 
Previews for the new Heishou IDs are out.

Don is interesting because she has rocinante in the trailer so that means that the bloodfiend shit happened. She's talking autistically so that means the lighthouse happened too. So does that mean that she just wandered out of the lighthouse and turned into a ram by H Corp? Out of the remaining sinners, I did not expect Don to get a Zoo Crew ID.

I guess no one would have taken off her shoes, but I figured the bloodfiend DNA or whatever would conflict with the heishou mutations.

EDIT: LOL I'm stupid and didn't realize it was already posted. Give me Dante heads pls
