Holy shit that was long, I think it took me four hours. The final fight in particular was just brutal, mixing unbreakable coins with massive rupture application is just fucking evil. My bleed team really fucked up and while it could tank at least, I couldn't really cheese bleed like in the past (not helping it's an unwinnable fight).

But it was really kino use of dungeon with it allowing you to do a lot more with the coin system. Also literal fortnite.

The apocalypse bird was horrific, poor Hong Lu just got completely broken over weeks. Hopefully you can kill the hag by the end.

Not really a fan of Confucius being stronger than a fucking vampire lord.
 
Caught up so far, I didn't read during the last fight and kept thinking "This is going on for a while, it must be one of those last a certain amount of turn fights" and didn't like it. Tried it again and it really wasn't that bad. Good fight but nothing is going to convince me that unbreakable coins with rupture are a good design decision. Story has been real good though, I have no connection to the source material but all of the clap material I enjoyed.

I don't mind, it's better than the old design of having to win clashes on turn 1 or you get screwed. I had 2 units with a good dodge defensive skill at hand and it worked well enough. But I'll admit that it is a cheap way to get managers to use their entire bus of sinners instead of relying only on the main team.

Using a bleed team, I lost like 4 dudes including Don and was pretty close to losing. Then I realized I was retarded and used a dodge on the unbreaking rupture moves and cheesed the fight.
 
I see a lot of copium online about this being the main content and having a good ending for the canto, the only thing I need to say to those fuckers is

Speculations I have with 99.9% certainty I thought of while jogging 10KM in the summer heat:
* Before the Fortnite championship Jia Huan used Kong Lu (the actual end season Kong family Hong Lu ID we are going to get at the end of the season) to find the original Bolus medicine that caused the end of the Kong family.
* Jia Huan and Gubo used their EGOs to spread the gift throughout the competition like radiation, the only one who won't be infected are evil grandma and Jia Xichun (if the devs want to even give somewhat of a non depressing ending).
* During the competition end, 90% of the people turn into murder rape crows.
* Our first fight is against Lin who got infected by the bullet wound.
* We basically kill every main character we didn't kill before.
* Final fight is against raven Confucius, or alternatively he is used to summon Kong Lu who is completely broken by his actions in his timeline.
* The Head task force Deep Strikes the event and engages in Total Hong Death, we only survive since Virgil bails us out.
* Evil grandma starts going crazy, she's being told she should have had the bravery to at least kill herself before killing her.
* H Wing is razed to the gound because the head is sick and tired of it.
* A giant kilometer high Lawn Chair is put above the ruins so everyone knows what goes around comes around.

Elders/grandma are going to be the final boss seeing as how BIG CHILLIN man keeps mentioning his beef is with them and Xi Chun is heading straight to the rape realm.
Also she isn't gonna make it if the worms from Outis story are any indication.

Kind of a problem with how they are all basically desiccated corpses running on pure spite. A stiff breeze can kill them, they only live because the Heishou which are extremely underwhelming as final bosses. Also I wonder if evil grandma might be the most evil character in the verse considering every other contender at least has some goal or flaw.

Also also, with the shit I saw Heishou Faust pull this might come into effect by the season end

I really doubt the conflict in part 3 will involve the birds or the banned boluses. The Head has eradicated anyone that knew and all information on how to produce them has been erased. We haven't fought any new abnormality or peccatula yet, so I still think that it will involve the eggs that N-Corp brought in some way.

I do wonder how his ego, land of illusion, will tie into the finale.

I mean some keen eyed managers saw that Land of illusion inflicts sinking and its the same blindfold as he saw the birds of the forest moment

To drag up a dead topic I did get curious and record my times in MD starting from clicking confirm on team and so far my fastest times have been Rupture at 24 min, Burn at 25 and Poise at 26. These aren't with super optimal teams but just what I have for my rotation and the theme packs I picked were more so the least annoying with the best gift than most optimal based on attack types. I also did a bleed run that was at 27 minutes which was exactly what I expected. I'm not into speedrunning so I'm not going to optimize but I'm going to retry with Burn again when it gets full bonuses just to see if I could do better with it.

I did notice that's why I think the illusion is his shield, his aloofness towards the world, his sense that nothing will change so you shouldn't bother acting. I think that in a way that this illusion the matriarch has imposed upon him since he was young will be fully broken. His older brother has already beaten some cracks into it by pummeling Hong-Lu into giving him an honest answer.

All normal, zero interest in grinding in hard.

As for the Hong Lu discussion it feels like his story has been the most planned out so far. I have nothing to base it on other than the impression it gives me.

You know, something that no one is talking about is how gubo seemed legit upset that yi sang left. I think there's a strong possibility that yi sang jumped to conclusions and that gubo wasn't just using him.

From Gubo's POV he saved him, and Yi Sang owes him. So he thinks our emo boy is an ungrateful fuck.
I also find curious that Gubo is wearing der Fruschutze EGO just like Yi Sang uses it in the Fell Bullet
 
Yes, El Director keep adding unbreakable coins. I LOVE getting my ass beat and being forced to watch.

In reality, I didn't have a hard time with the Act 2 dungeon boss and actually beat him on my first try. My sinners aren't even that leveled up from last Canto. I used a rupture team with Uber Eats Rodion as lead. I was surprised that she didn't die from her passive. Faust with Fluid Sack is still so useful after all this time. Getting heals plus an immediate 2 protection after using it is so good.
I had a feeling that Jia Mu was evil, but holy shit this is the most evil thing we've seen so far. She eradiated an entire family AND forced Hong Lu to watch it all. She even lobotomized the one person that Hong Lu went to for comfort.
I can't wait for the finale. I wonder if the Canto mini-bosses will retain their "end this encounter if HP reaches 0" passive for MD.
