Replaying Ruina, starting to get a new understanding of how much of a cunt most of Tipheret's abno surpressions are. All the other bad ones feel like annoying puzzles, but QOH in particular reminds me of that one final battle that is made comedically easy by learn and a bizarre counter interaction.
Unique Tremor that raises stagger threshold and lowers defense level. Not what was expected from the reveal but the gimmick seems interesting at least.
Fucking hell, is Tremor finally getting taken out back and put out of it's misery? Can I finally use LCCB Ish the way she was intended?

For pulling in more money I didn't expect them to go with changing the BP to cost paid currency. I was really thinking they would change the dispenser to be the way things are delayed on there post season, like being able to get S2 units on S4 so that people would be more encouraged to get paid currency since they would have to wait so long between.

With how they're doing it now for a year of BP it'll be the $11.99+$23.99 (1014*2+2147*2) lunacy packs or the $41.99 (4103*2) pack on its own, that's assuming First-time Offer. This will also probably get more people into doing the daily 13 pulls, get them to consider buying announcer packs and the battle pass package as well which could lead into having to top up on another lunacy pack. This will likely will work out for them and I wouldn't be surprised to see Limbus move up a bit on the revenue chart after this.

No, Tremor is impossible to make good because of how bad its gimmick is.

Idk, I feel like projectmoon doesnt understand math or are overly generous compared to other gacha companies.
Or I'm just severely overestimating how many other limbillionaires there are.

They are overly generous. Considering that the audience they built comes from offline autistic games they wouldn't want to scare them off with a high cost gacha game. I swear to god in the other gachas I saw spreadsheets going around on how to most optimally grind the free content and even then you always end up with a pitiable amount of pull currency that you need to save for events or a specific pull. In Limbus you only have to do the MD every week and the pity systems are actually really generous since it doesn't delete your pity coins (I have seen one other gacha that did). The only spread sheet I saw for Limbus early on was one that made you into a limbillionare if you bought the right stuff when the game was on it's early stages.

@Finger Pistols
@Sulla
I think they're the most generous by far. Outside of rates or currency for pulls one of the main things is that the resources are mostly tied together instead of being a clusterfuck of grinding. You just have Thread, Shards and Crates, all of which you get between each other. The only other thing is EXP tickets. There's no gold to worry about, specific resources for upgrading attacks/IDs or any kind of timegating outside of stamina. You can easily grind or save crates for whatever ID/EGO at mostly anytime as well. Maybe I would feel different if I weren't a day 1 enjoyer but with how the game operates there's not really much incentive to whale outside buying the BP or for WN if you somehow didn't save for it. They're really good for their audience at the cost of profit.

All that said my reasoning on people spending the paid lunacy for that stuff is because its now available to them assuming they're getting the BP. Its not hard to write off or rationalize using it when they have it available in the spur of the moment, especially if they don't know how unnecessary it is.

Battle Pass is no longer purchased with money, instead requiring 1300 Paid Lunacy

I've heard that this change is happening because you could buy the battlepass on steam, then refund it, and still keep the pass, but get your money back.

But on the topic of overly generous, I only bought the season 1 BP, no lunacy packs at all, and didn't actually grind MDs since season 1 either, and I'm just missing a single 000 and 00 ID and 10 EGO, which I never pull for anyways. Pmoon genuinely made the best gacha system out there by not knowing what the fuck they were doing, or hiring a jewmaxxer. And it still made about 30 times more money than Library of Ruina ever did.

  • Mirror Dungeon 4 will be a 'pick your poison' type deal, where you can choose from a selection of themes for the floor before embarking

Honestly, I'm more annoyed with Starlight not crossing over this time, even if it was just a portion of Starlight that come into the next Dungeon, I'd love grinding Starlight to be easier.
One thing that is interesting is that the floor themes are designed like booster packs, they remind me of MTG theme packs. Which is interesting theming as universe we've only had employee id cards so far, but building your slay the spire dungeon through card draft is an interesting twist on the formula.
They don't specify if it'll be chapter locked again, but I think themes are a good solution, they could have a base 7 seven themes for each Sin and as you play the game you unlock more Themes, instead of totally locking the entire Dungeon.
Although I guess things like Event Themes would be locked behind the events themselves, like having to have gotten the event manager card theme.
The clear Bonus and it specifying floor makes me think we'll build the dungeon as we go along, each time we beat a floor, we crack another theme pack.

They've said they don't really like the gacha model and are just doing it to have a monetary safety net that enables themselves to make more experimental games in the future, and despite them being as generous with it as they are it seems to be working given the tracked revenue just from the mobile version.

It's basically the Steam ideal of "if we make a good product then players will happily give us money to hear a Korean woman babble for several minutes".

It will be nice to get locked into specific Ego gift range than the current option of hoping you spent enough starlight to make the gift RNG better.

This got posted last night but didn't see it until today. Seasonal Lunacy packs for the Battle Pass are being introduced during the update to Season 4, refresh every season. If you're intent on playing and keeping the BP going its still cheaper to go with the other packs I mentioned in the previous post.

I know I'm late to the party, but I finally got past Ahab and her gang in Railroad 3. I'm clocked heh in at around 79 turns so far.
I've been playing through it blind, how hard are the last two fights?

pretty easy IIRC, I remember feeling relieved after getting through Ahab, you're probably in the clear as long as you haven't been loose with your resources

Thinking on what Heath to use for the new content, it's probably R Corp just for being good all rounded. PM seem to have given up on Charge, with the most they do is expanding charge for extra status effects.

Wake up! New PV just dropped!

- Nelly Outis (Maybe Joseph but unlikely)

- New EGOs and IDs for both Outis and Meursault
-- Meursault now confirmed first character to 9 ID, coming off of his great BL ID (also gets a bat in their ID before Heathcliff. Lol, lmao even)
-- Outis getting more story/event related unlocks, after her Magic Bullet ID from Walpurgisnacht and Holiday EGO from Miracle in District 20

Damn, Outists and the French be eatting well recently

I like how Don Quixote started out with every ID and EGO making her sad and is now giving off the vibes of that girl who invited you to her room to enthusiastically show her collection of giant stuffed animals

How many cute animal egos does she have? Wolf, Soup, saurus.

just wait until PM remembers singing machine exists. Heathcliffs gonna be writhing with bloodshot eyes. Dons going to be leading all the possessed clerks in a dance number with the batons as glow sticks.
