Liu Ishmael seems to boost burn teams a fair amount. I think burn teams need to have more passives that let them gain damage or other advantages if the enemy has burn. Because since it's capped at 99 here it's somewhat nerfed from Ruina. And since it's per round damage and not per coin (like bleed or rupture) it's unoptimal to play with unless the enemy resist bleed or rupture.
It's probably just a matter of time until the devs remove the limit, or at least extend it to work with the increasingly bloated HP values.

Going to do a burn team Mirror Dungeon run to test the unit out.

Update: These are the results. She's a beast with burn teams, that passive is really good and her skills can snowball into better clashes with her plus coin power skill three. Hell, I'll even say that she would thrive more in smaller burn oriented teams where she gets more turns. A plus is that she fuels her own EGOs with some of her skills.

It seems this is not the case. Single targets still can’t go above 99 Burn, but an Abno can display over 99 if it has multiple parts.
That must be what it was then, I saw a screenshot of liu ish having over 100 burn on an abnormality.
 
Alright, it seems that we have been given some teasers. One for the new side story and another for the new IDs.

Honestly, the new Maursault ID looks really goofy. There have been many memes already on how he looks like a hamster or bowling ball. Rodya looks fine but a bit redundant if it's going to be like the Sinclair Zwei ID, a tremor based one.

The new side story is, sadly, not football based. But it's beach themed. I predict that there will be a lot of beach episode fan art.

Yeah, Hellbus has been on the road map for some time; If I had to guess which district we're going to, it'd be T, that way after the transition in the trailer, we can be greeted by a dreary monochromatic landscape and polluted waterways of London, making the sinners upset they aren't getting a beach vacation and providing us with a humorous moment.

Unfortunately, Rodya is getting a Zwei Section Five ID, and she's using a mace(the Zwei tremor weapon), so it's probably going to be shit.

Meursault getting a Rhino ID is a bit odd, but unsurprising since he lacks the mental turmoil and bloodlust the Reindeer and Rabbits select for.
Commander
  • Outis: She's probably the 4th pack's commander since she is the most Nikolai of the bunch.
Rhino
  • Gregor: His Rhino art on the website shows him with a cape, so he probably takes the role of Maxim as the Rhino leader.
  • Don: shares a carefree attitude with Maxim and is neither brainy nor blood thirsty enough for the Reindeer or Rabbits.
  • Rodya: probably a Rhino, she keep calm easily and has an affable personality like the Rhinos seem to select for.
Rabbits
  • Ryoshu: She's the most bloodthirsty of the Sinners and probably takes Myo's role as the rabbit commander.
  • Sinclair: Is seen in the background of R Heath's first art, putting a rabbit mask on.
  • Hong Lu: Shares the same Bloodthirsty personality as the other rabbits and is also seen in R Heath's first art.
Reindeer
  • Faust: Brainy enough to be the Reindeer leader and is similarly calm and collected like Rudolph.
  • Yi Sang: Brainy and mentally unstable, definently a reindeer.
One thing to note is each team has a member who doesn't fit their role as best they could; Meursault's workaholic personality lacks the calm and affable attitude that best suits the Rhinos, Sinclair is bloodthirsty but is uncomfortable with that side of himself and suppresses it, and while Ishmael is brainy and mentally unstable, she's too neurotic resulting in instability.
 
Looking at the new update information from project moon, the base EGOs are having their costs changed to -10 Sanity, -15 for Hong Lu's land of Illusion, and -20 for Faust's Representation Emitter.

Representation Emitter now heals 10 Sanity for the lowest Sanity allies, i'm surprised they changed the base EGOs like this at all, but Faust's was a bit to strong as is.

Abno battles called Focused Battles now, so we might see Human Battles eventually phased out?

For MD2 Hard mode, the starting Cost is back to 200, and two star identities Cost 0 like the base Identities. Rest stops and shops now appear at fixed locations at the begining of floors or right before the final boss.

EGO gift spawn rate after a battle is determined by how much Cost you earned during the fight, and Lunar Memory has become to max rarity.

Starting with Rhino Merusault for the new identities: i'm surprised that Rhino Merusault is Bleed and Speed based like a Rabbit, but then again, the Rhino's were the most generic of the 4th pack mechanically, with them just being beefy tanks that dealt good damage.

He also lacks a way to apply Haste to himself(his only way of gaining speed is by his passive, which increases max speed), although his skill 1 and 2 do give him Charge, and his skill 1, while buffed by Charge, does not expend it. It's also a bit weird that while he applies Bleed Count, he doesn't have a way to increase it's potency.

His Skills also don't have Sloth, depriving him of his EGO, base and Gacha. That said, his Base EGO only needs 1 Sloth, and Envy/Gloom are better Sins for giving other charge IDs access to Charge EGOs.

Zwei Rodya is just shit, her Skills don't give her useful combination of sins, and both of her mechanics; Shield and Poise aren't good.

While I doubt that Project Moon will add those types of IDs, the fans got you covered. As I predicted there is a some beach fan art out there at the moment. Youtube even recomended me this out of the blue.

I am surprised that it's a bleed ID. I honestly thought that it would be a tremor or shield ID. I am fine if he doesn't add bleed potency since other ID's are way better for that purspose like the Kurokumo IDs. He will make an interesting addition to other bleed teams, specially when more R-corp IDs are added.

But since this one depends on crits it's going to be really underused unless she gains a poise based EGO like Sunshower. She could be useful if her speed is high or passive is good, but otherwise I won't be even use shards for her.

I'm fine with the starting EGO cost change, but I'm sad for the passive's nerf. The Chinese fanbase is throwing a fit because of it, too, as always.
Also, they're not removing the human battles, just changing terminology, likely so they can put non-Abnos in them.

They really need to increase poise from a 20% to 50% damage boost, man.
 
Rhino Merusault
Not bad since at least more slash user, and bleed and charge are nice. Also not a bad set of sins. I'm having a lot of Mer shards and I guess this is a better investment than his recovery EGO.

That will create an interesting meta at least. So far I'm using Kuro Hong and LCCB Ish, with the dungeon buffs you can get three 000, so it leaves finding two good 00 and building around them.

Human Battles eventually phased out
Human battles will probably remain as filler, however the team steadily rise in power levels so it will be interesting what mooks we'll fight considering we already fucked up a wing, and ProjectMoon is fairly consistent in power levels.

Yeah I'm coping that we get less human fights, that said the K Corp goons we fight are only class 3 and Lob Corp had employees going up to EX rank. Seighart and some other grade 3~1 fixers probably fill the power level that the level 4~EX Agents did since 5~EX Agents are comparable to Grade 1 Fixers and almost as strong as Colors.

And we also didn't threaten K Corps original eye, just one of it's children so we probably weren't that damaging to the company, or that high on their priority to fuck over.

It's a pretty weird ID, underpowered and it's just weird that her only way of gaining Shield is through her passive and defense skill which is pretty bad. She's is better in MD2 due to being able to start with the breathlizer. It feels like there's a good idea here somewhere but the execution is just terrible, at the very least we can hope she gets good coin values.

Just finished my first MD2 Hard mode run, and I gotta say it was pretty enjoyable and decently difficult. Although the KQE boss was a bit of a damage sponge without much going on.

Both MRhino and Zweidoya feel undercooked, with MRhino feeling more like a decent two star due to lack of Power on his skill 3 when under 10 charge(his skill 2 has more Power), difficulty in building charge, and the speed threshold for his Power up being 7 when his base speed range is 2~5.

Zweidoya is just shit all around; low Power, not enough poise generation, not enough Shield generation, and lack of effects on coins.

I have to agree with @Sulla on this; I think Project Moon has been releasing purposefully under powered ID due to the upcoming release of Uptie 4.

Jesus Christ. The bull is insane in hardmode. I only had distorted Meursault left and he managed to kill it with that AoE attack. All my characters distorted multiple times and killed each other in the proccess.

There are way too many news for a quick post, but it seems Uptie 4 will save multiple weak units and perhaps make busted units even more ridiculous.
Probably will try to make the lower tier much better and not too ridiculous for meta, and probably make hard mode easy. Also finished Hard on third try. The final boss was the bull and wasn't worth the time killing it. The only way I could conceive on beating it is just raping it upon breaking the head, but after failing it I had 30 minutes slowly exhausting my resources killing it. The best advise I can give on hard mode is to avoid blunt enemies (much more annoying than the others) and not be afraid of damage because you have to get enough resources for the future.

Unlike WDon who does fuckloads of damage but needs some setup, this ones is more clash oriented with the duel skill helping things, though the low coin count can make it high risk.
Also wonder if it's the final character art or we'll finally see a Don ID that doesn't go through mind break.
