It really is just a fantasy too. They want you to use transgender as an adjective but never as a noun, similar to gay and black but communicated really poorly.
I would have at least put quotation marks around the indefinite article, to make it clear that this was the objectionable part.
Also, “ ” are your quotation marks when writing in English, not « ».
