I disagree. The pacifist option was included (and played up on the box: "Remember, it's only as violent as you are!") to disarm the criticism that the original Postal received and maybe convince stores to carry it. The game generally rewards you for killing as many NPCs as possible and is designed to provoke you into doing it. In particular, most of the Dude's funniest lines are gated behind killing NPCs (e.g., the librarian on Tuesday).I believe the intended way to play Postal 2 was to play it as a pacifist. It shows that The Dude lives in an ass backwards, crazy town.
Also note that Monday's boss-type NPCs disappear permanently once their quests are completed. With Vince, I suppose you could argue that the protestors ended up killing him even if you didn't, but Habib also disappears and there's no other explanation for this other than that you're expected to have either killed him for the milk or killed him for insulting you after you paid for the milk. Personally, I always just kill him on the way in so he can't trigger the alarm when I leave without paying, unless it's on Insane-o in which case I grab the milk and immediately head for the hidden tunnel in the back room since killing him in front of a half-dozen NPCs is a good way to get napalmed. Also note that the Dude's dialogue with the woman behind the counter at the napalm factory strongly implies that he has less than innocent plans for it ("Hello, miss. I need to buy some napalm. Uh, to kill weeds, in my lawn, as far as you know.")
Most importantly, remember what Civvie 11 said in his "Pro Postal" series: "There's ways to play this game without killing anyone. Good luck with that. That's, uh, that's not fun."
