It's a whole dollar on Steam right now! Get in and enjoy the halcyon days of gaming where SomethingAwful was actually a good forum to post in.

apocalypse weekend is cool AF to play and it has co-op too, doing the pacifist run is the best. how much people skip the napalm factory btw? you can crouch-jump over the pipe that blocks the door and skip the entirety of that mission easily.

Don't forget the best easy mode name, Liebermode from anti video game politician Joe Lieberman.God I fucking love Postal 2, it's not every game where you force people to sign a petition to get whiny congressmen to play violent videogames.... and also shoot Gary Coleman.
It made me laugh so hard the time I pissed on the back of a cop then stepped back into the small group of people before he could see me. The cop turned around and started walking in front of the people standing there, stopped... pulled his gun... blasted an innocent guy, then walked away as if he had solved the mystery of who pissed on him. That really impressed me, it was advanced dumb AI.God I fucking love Postal 2, it's not every game where you force people to sign a petition to get whiny congressmen to play violent videogames.... and also shoot Gary Coleman.

I heard about it back in the day and all the gaming magazines rated it terribly largely for the technical issues at the time. But ya' know, this is before Steam, this is before all that shit, you buy that giant game box with the CD inside and you hope it works out. So I have no idea how actually stable it was but it was always in the back of my mind. I even saw the Uwe Boll movie when it first came out and enjoyed it. I bought it for $1 on Steam but never got around to actually playing it until I discovered Civvie and finally played it. Dare I say it's a flawed masterpiece?Does anyone remember their first exposure to Postal 2 ? Mine was at middle school where kids were sharing these videos of the "Most violent game in the world" and we saw shitty gameplay footage of the game, slashing people, shooting them, not even GTA was that gory and senseless with its violence.
Took a few years until I even learned where that footage was from. Postal had a very fascinating story with 2 being a very satirical sequel to a very brutal and grounded game. Now its one of my funniest games of all time.
The AI in Postal 2 is...generally kinda what I think Europeans think the US is like. The AI in Postal 2 is delightfully stupid. Maybe it was bad but I think that its "badness" add to the charm. Everyone in there acts absolutely insane at a moment's notice. They get aggressive over nothing and remain passive over serious stuff. You can threaten them that you will follow them home and kill their dogs and they can be like "Kay, seems reasonable" and sign your petition.
fixed that for you.The AI in Postal 2 is... generally Is what the US is like.
Everyone's got guns and they will not hesitate to draw on you.
I saw the screenshots on a mexican magazine and the line that sold me was "this is the most offensive thing I had the displeasure to review", it was the first Mac game that I bought with my own money at an Apple reseller. The PM G4 that we had could not handle it well at all for some reason until I got an iBook that blasted throught it. Doing the pacifist run was fun as well as just causing mayhem around town.Does anyone remember their first exposure to Postal 2 ?

I think what sold it to me was seeing some moral guardians freaking out about it around the time it released. What else could 15yo edgy gamer Battlecruiser3000ad do other than to buy it?
Game was good, loading times back then were abyssmal though.
My reason to play Postal 2 were the guns in the cat's ass.Ahh...Back when we were up for anything that the establishment boomers didnt like, that by itself was the best marketing for your game.
