A series of older sketches I've done. Not sure if I showed them here or not

Trying out a more zoomed-in perspective and more oblique angle than I am used to.

The blending is actually really good. The edges aren't too rough. Especially considering you worked with such low-res graphics. I wish you had adjusted the color of each layer so it would look more match-y.

But overall, nice work. And I don't even know 3 of those guys. Haha.
I just realized that I never thanked you for your critique, so thank you. It meant a lot to me that you took to the time to write a post about my stupid photoshop. :)

Anyway, I was practicing drawing faces and someone in chat suggested Adrien Brody.

Original image for reference.(linking it due because kiwifarms is being a dick at the moment.)

Here's another picture. I was going to draw a werewolf, but I was have trouble figuring out a pose so I just drew a rock.

Here's the lineart and the rock solo if anybody cares

P.s If you guys want to critique my work go ahead, be as nitpicky as you want.
P.P.S Also if somebody has a tutorial on how to draw mouths I would greatly appreciate it. The same goes for action poses since I have a very hard time coming up with them.

The RLM requirment for that beast to divebomb still bothers me,i mean did they really expect a 1939 heavy bomber to dive at 600km/h and not be destroyed by the g-forces?

RLM was obsessed with tactical dive bombing because of Ernst Udet. Strategic level bombing was not given much attention after Walther Wever died.

It's like the entire Luftwaffe had a fear that a horizontally dropped bomb wouldn't go off......

Train stuff..... pair of covered hoppers, practicing that look of weathered equipment. The accumulation of rust, grime, and the scars from when they hastily paint out graffiti, and then the fresh spots start to weather too.

More gratuitous figure drawing, I'll say NSFW just to be on the safe side.

Nice! What Photoshop brush is that can I ask? I've been looking for one similar to the one you used in this piece.

Thankyou!

So the brushes I use are just an amalgamation of some "painterly style" brushes.

I like to use painterly brushes on an overlay, soft light etc adjustment-type layers as I feel it makes the strokes and textures a little more balance than just slapping a textured brush onto a normal layer. I paid particular attention to using an overlay layer when I was doing the shroud. It looks a lot better imo.

This isn't actually art but I'm setting up to quench my thirst do some GODDAMN STUDIES. I'm hoping to learn a little more about volume/depth of field and unusual fabrics in my character studies (Baldwin and the Graverobber) and lighting in the two LOTR environments.

I know people think studies aren't 'real art' but I'm keen to show my learning process of actually finding and observing examples 'in the wild' before I conjure something from my mind and try to render that in any great detail. I also find it good as a way to diverge from stylisation. It's also good to note I really don't use textured or unusual brushes in my studies, it's literally just a round brush at varying levels of softness, opacity and flow; the more I need to think about how to make a texture of something the more its form gets embedded in my mind.
