I was stuck for something to draw and Mythos suggested a corgi queen. So here she is, our glorious corgi queen herself, dishing out some justice.

I apologise in advance to Queen Corgi, I am not good at drawing animals, an hope she does not find this an insulting likeness.

This was a unique experience for me. The top painting was at the 20 hour mark (I'm a technical 3d artist and don't usually paint, so I'm also very slow). The middle painting was a 15 minute paintover by the talented Armand Serrano. The bottom painting was me following some of Armand's suggestions. If you compare image 1 with image 3, the improvement is astounding.

I wish I had time to do more of these...

Pretty much copy-pasthing the description, but there is one new thing to add. The conception for this guy is thanks to my boyfriend. We were going back and forth about ideas for the comic when he asked whether ghosts could interact with each other or whether they were all trapped within their respective planes of existence. From there he went on to give an example. Civil war ghost who used to own the house the Japanese family moved into. He tends to run into the family’s ancestral spirit from time to time. It’s not that they don’t get along, it’s just that he’s baffled by literally everything about her.

Doesn’t help either that the language barrier gets in the way.

when developing an idea is more fun than drawing the comic itself LOL
