It's my favourite movie, I actually have a tattoo of Yakul and was thinking about getting one of the deer god. :P
But certainly! I've been meaning to draw him. I'm on spring break from college so I'll have time to doodle him up this week.
 
Aw, ghibli films in general are amazing. I need to see the new one when it gets released here in washinton.
And as for art... I draw a lot of fairies, so...

I decided to try something less blocky and low resolution, so here's a blurry low resolution picture of a hand-drawing because I don't have a scanner.

For the past 7 years I've been having spurts of drawing lots and studying hard/grinding, and then gloomy periods of nothing but self-pity and inactivity. I'm really trying to stay on "draw every day and study every day", and I've been reading Johnkstuff.blogspot.com for inspiration (his cartoons always scared the shit out of me though...) - especially the 30's soft rubber hose and Preston Blair stuff. I used to be a Disneykid, now I'm kind of...amorphic, but it's good to try new things.

Blah blah blah for the time being I have this, from yesterday:

I also draw imploding (not on purpose) vehicles (I got better though), pens (because boy do I like pens!!!), and lately I've been drawing melting/imploding quaint wooden cabins. I should pop in here frequently.

At the moment, I'm using CS5. I know CS6 is out and ripe for the cracking but I only just got used to the controls for the first, so I'm sticking with it. I have SAI but for some reason the pen tracking is off? so I don't use it as much as I'd like.
 
Wanted to continue with the challenge while at school, but no tablet. Trackpad to the rescue!

I-it's a tick....Trouble is, ticks are arachnids so..yeahhhhhhhhhh. It'll be changed by the time I get home.
