Hello all, hoping any talk of PC tech goes here. There's some plausible leaks of AMD's new 7nm lineup of cpus, Ryzen 3000, coming out now.
Looking at my R5 1600, if those numbers land anywhere near claimed, it's going to be way too difficult to not consider an upgrade. Especially the 3700X, that chip would be an absolute monster if even close to that spec.
Near the end is some information on the new lineup of Navi GPU's. Once again no 1080ti replacements, but some steep price cuts compared to card of similar performance out now.
Consumer CPUs never really got hit much by the mining craze, and I doubt the next line of ryzens will either.
I'm looking forward to them, whether or not these leaks are real. I've really enjoyed my 1700x, and I figure that I'll be pretty envious of the new chips if I don't end up with one in my system by the end of things.
Is this a good thread to hijack to ask about buying a new gaming PC? I was about to order a buildkit from Newegg but they're sold out...anyone know any other good reputable sellers for buildkits? Should I just do ibuypower?
Should be just fine, though the R9's will require 4xx-5xx if I remember correctly. But the R3,5,and 7 models should all drop into a first gen board with a BIOS update.

Buildkits aren't as big a waste of money as prebuilt computers, but they're still overpriced. I advise just buying the parts outright and putting them together.
