I'm pretty sure complaining about the state of the most streamlined porn paysite of the industry can show just how bad things are, in a "our expectations were low but HOLY FUCK" kind of way.

It's been what like 12, 13 years since the underfed untoned body skank junkie waif look along with aging "Milf" (uh no) look started taking over mainstream American porn productions. And the "milf" (uh no) look was pornstars who were actually beautiful women a decade earlier sticking around instead of aging out because the american industry couldn't find 20-something replacements of equal quality anymore like it used to

Nice! I know that money is the ultimate goal but wasn't the founders of OnlyFans some porn-adjacent dudes?

I remember when Pinterest looked like the red light district but they seem to have leveraged the amount of impressions/visitors into VC money and then booted the porn. I used to think Twitter would do the same. Free internet porn is good for free internet growth but IMO it seems like OnlyFans is a porn site at this point, if they gut that there can't be much left and what can they offer that Patreon can't?

They're worse at free previews and shit, asking for billing info even for free accounts. That plus their reputation makes it unlikely unless they really put work into it.

OnlyFans is just another example of a singular media entity wanting to expand it's market share and move into an the general public. Patreon, VidMe and various others will gladly accept money for smut until they reach a market value point to bail. This shift to include "Fitness and Art" (glorified soft-core fetish porn) should have been the warning signal months ago.

That would normally be a good thing, but that probably happened because those would-be 20-something replacements were deluded into hoeing solo.

Yes….Angela White uses her real name. But at the same time, most in the industry use an alias because of course most people really do not want to be known as someone who shows their goodies as has sex for money, no matter how much they make.

The smarter hos often have their porn name registered as a trademark.

For example, you can look up "Marie McCray" and see that it is a trademark that is registered to Deanna Gwilliams ( her legal name).
