You'd be wrong. At least in the US, in the legal brothels in Nevada. The minimum you can expect to spend for a half hour with any of these "beauties" is $2k. Not joking, not exaggerating. Actual porn stars working at brothels charge substantially more (think $5k, even for the old and busted ones). Here's what $2k rents you these days just outside Vegas at the nearest legal brothels (nothing "raw"/everything "covered"):

The scummiest element of legal brothel operations in Nevada is some sneaky combination of law and straight-up collusion (because seriously, who's going to successfully raise a stink about whores colluding to drive up prices at legal brothels?) enables them to forbid the actual prostitutes advertising their rates or negotiating under any circumstances except in-person, at the brothel, having chosen your preference ... who is probably just wearing sultry underwear. I'll grant it's a clever move, much like how the car dealership won't really get down to final numbers until you've given that shiny new car a good close look, you're expected to haggle with a woman you selected, in person, over what sex with her should cost. And they typically aren't wearing too much during that discussion.

Digging around on Tryst in the Vegas area, there are prettier girls doing it for less, though the average for decent lookers is still $600+ starting, with no end of "upsells." Any woman there who considers herself even remotely above-average in looks will demand at least $1k/hr. And of course it's illegal (and Clark County loves their stings) and unregulated, so disease is a bigger risk. There are apparently other substantially more reliable and less expensive options (I guess "Seeking Arrangements" is still fairly reliable for hooker hunting, not just sugar babies), but again, none of it's legal.

Louis theroux had a documentary on a brothel that was just opening in Nevada. It is a quite interesting look at how those things work. A customer would arrive, sit on a couch and the ladies would walk up and present themselves. You could pick one and then go to a sideroom to haggle. They had microphones there else whores would make a side deal (say they made a deal at 500, when they took 700). It seemed like the same system car dealers have, if you sit down and already have an eye on a car, you're unlikely to walk away. And here you sit down with the chick you already want to fuck, not the old man owner. You're unlikely to give up and just pay whatever they hold on to. Maybe if you're a veteran whoremonger do you know what you got and be willing to walk, and get a reasonable deal.
Overal it seems like a way to fleece people that have already flown out to a place that will suck you dry of money with gambling.

Looking at the second site, they have a list with sex acts they offer. When I first looked the heartshaped eyes on the women looked like bored eyes with low eyebrows. Which was pretty funny.

They have cameras & microphones in the actual rooms where the sex happens, too. People don't seem to ever connect the dots when they offer "video recordings of your session for a nominal fee" ... "and yet I don't see any cameras, hmmm..." I'm told they blacklist clients for doing that "too much," where the specific number of times comes down to the individual house. They do not like good negotiators (makes sense, since the house typically takes half). The two houses that operate outside Vegas (in Pahrump) run a "free" limousine pickup and drop-off service (you call from your Vegas hotel, they pick you up in a dated limo, drive you to the brothel, you do your business, and then drive you back), and they get seriously fucking pissed if you don't wind up "doing business." Like, "gently suggesting your ride back to Vegas will be expensive and/or might involve a brief stop in the desert to fill a hole" pissed.

Obviously they don't really kill people but they most definitely blacklist anybody who limos out to them at their expense then scoffs at the menu prices when they arrive.
