"Oh. That actually makes sense. Thank you." I almost want to make this my new custom title; something about this simple, understated, completely idiotic response to the completely idiotic statement above it makes me smile.

I hear there's some kind of hip new social group that involves enjoying someone else's company without having sex. It's called being friends.

Mom and pop have a girlfriend; they come out to their 14 year old daughter and she doesn't like it, unsurprisingly they don't care. Fast forward a year, she's "gotten used to it" when she and friend happen to walk by the parents' bedroom where they have a clear view of the gf sitting in dad's lap and making out. Daughter has had enough, sits mom and dad down afterwards and lectures them about PDA, dad misses the point by a country mile and says he doesn't gaf. The post and comments are a goldmine.

Kid issues :( (archive)

Coming out and being honest with a child is great.
Reminder that these people are not sexual deviants and children should always be aware of what and how their parents are fucking.

Last night, she sat her mother and I down and lectured us about appropriate conduct, PDAs, and so on, and said several times that she doesn't think it's okay for her 7 yr old brother to "see that", by which she mostly means A sitting in my lap or kissing me.
That’s pretty impressive for a 15-year-old. I’m glad there’s at least one adult in the house.
