use thumbnails you fucking faggot, no one wants you to take up half a page with a shitty tyler the creator meme from 10 years ago.[a huge fucking image proving this person is a retard regardless of their stance]
I'd say it's about equal. That's why I love Null. In a totally not-gay way of courseHe did it because he had another one of his mood swings. But man, the rest of the site has them even worse.
Just wait a bit when everyone calms down. I feel like I'm a sane person in a looney bin right now, it's pretty fun.
If I dont, who will? I don't care if it's unpopular what I'm trying to explain. I care that the point is there at all.in a thread full of whining and autstic sperging, @WelperHelper99 still manages to shine like a retarded lighthouse in the dead of night
GemHmmmm, what kind of dopamine intake options does this "Sharty" place have available to me?
I respect what Josh does. I acknowledge that this is his site and he runs it as he wishes. I think most people on this site think like this too.Easy enough to say until it happens. And you're the one holding the bag like Josh is now.
No. The stickers being banned for hurting feelings is the start. Then we ban doxing because that might be dangerous *oh noes!*, then we stop being allowed to make fun of people because, HEY! THAT MIGHT HURT THEIR FEELINGS! and finally josh puts on a dress and shuts down the site.it's over kiwi bros sticker drama is what'll finally do is in
"Not an argument!" The cockmongler screams in pain as he lashes out.Hyperbolic buzzword ad hom response. Yep, about what I expected from this thread.
Make sure to ping Null every time you bitch about the forum, I want to see you being this great independent thinker that'll never become a slave. Resist the system, show me the way.
I rate this postI feel like I'm a sane person in a looney bin right now
(you)s, that's it, which is what josh wants to emulate when he takes away our kiwi karma ironically enoughHmmmm, what kind of dopamine intake options does this "Sharty" place have available to me?
It's pretty hard to take any of you seriously with the amount of hyperbolic herd sperging without any rational thoughts about what's happening. Everyone completely lost the fucking plot at this point, people keep screaming but they forgot why they're screaming. If the people who actually got bothered by the reaction score are the ones hating on us for using notifications, then there's even less reason to take their criticism seriously.
I do agree group-think happens with ratings But its severity is lower here than on Reddit/Twitter. Groupthink becomes severe if the moderation is shit. 4chan has no ratings .... but it is way more group-think because the mods on certain subchans are biased.I think that sticker notifications can potentially lead to users altering their behavior in line with a group-think. While this can be a good thing for maintenance of a site's culture, it can also create the Reddit Nightmare. I think Jewish has done a pretty great job thus far, and am thus willing to trust his judgement. All this being said, I did think it was fun to wake up in the morning to like 40 notifs, letting me know that my silly ms paint Rekeita meme was liked.

Well now I see why you can never go back after suckling on the sweet sweet teat of the updoots bell.(you)s, that's it, which is what josh wants to emulate when he takes away our kiwi karma ironically enough
No, I removed it specifically because I've realized that not only have many, many users apparently trained their brains to use a forum specific way that is counter-intuitive to how forums are supposed to work, but you're also making posting decisions based on that feedback.
This started because I received feedback from multiple users that they prefer to post in fucking retarded DM chains specifically because they don't want negative feedback on their posts. They have been discouraged from using this webforum as a forum because they do not feel safe to post as a result of these incessant notifications and looming persistent scorecard ratings. That is FUCKING STUPID. That means the site is broken and is fundamentally failing to encourage people to use it. It means that the reaction system, which exists to provide feedback on individual posts, is having a chilling effect on the entire site.
I am not undoing this. I am observing genuine psychological damage inflicted on people.

Welcome to the slope. Its starting to get slippery.
Quite possibly. Id still argue that "fun users" ought to shit up one of the three designatedI guess I can make a distinction for the hugbox DMs that popped up (like couple of /pol/fag hugbox DMs). Those basically exist out of butthurt over people disagreeing with the group consensus and is generally an argument for removing reaction score and sticker notifs anyway.
The mass DMs though were basically giant shitposts. I think some of the earliest were born from inviting a bunch of people to some faggot's butthurt DM, and it kind of became a unique culture from there. The subsequent ones that were created to be mass DMs were usually continuing the legacy of a previous one that got deleted for some reason. Some evolved into drama hubs, some evolved into conversation hubs, but in general, they were shitposts and no one was really thinking about stickers.
I think a few people threw out the no reaction score thing as a theory as to why they're popular with some users, but to be honest, I think it's just because the guys who took part in them tended to be fun users.
Don't stickers determine which post gets highlighted?
