Null brings it up like it's on par with the holocaust in terms of seriousness.Dude, feel free to negrate every post I made since 2016. When have you seen me, or anyone in the thread, get mad over negative ratings?

The glorious Autistic Thunderdome of course.Fuck is AT?
I thought it stood for "Artistic Thunkingdome".The glorious Autistic Thunderdome of course.
I only watch threads I made.I liked them to keep up on threads I post in because I'm a lazy faggot who doesn't use the watch thread feature
Just heard it through JewshDude, feel free to negrate every post I made since 2016. When have you seen me, or anyone in the thread, get mad over negative ratings?
Why the fuck should I have to? Why is it so important to gatekeep why people use the site? This arbitrary authoritarian bullshit is exactly what i hate about current year and josh is just as bad but for even more retarded reasons."I refuse to use any site feature other than the bell icon": the thread
Take this to the logical extreme and do that instead of reacting normally.Taking away the notifications removes the utility of stickers. You can simplify it to "muh dopamine" all day long but it doesn't change the fact that sticker-er X wants sticker-ee Y to know that a post was good, or bad, or autistic, or whatever. You can't just cut out half the feedback loop and expect the value to not change.
Idk how you can stand listening to Josh’s voice. More power to you.I can't wait for Friday's MATI
Agree.Even if the watch thread feature was a perfect alternative with zero downsides (which isn't the case), folks just resent having their options taken from them, especially if a particular option was significantly more convenient and UI friendly.
Agree. This really isnt about the stickers than the utility of the sticker notification.
I don't know how else to get you to understand.
Dumb.I'm not talking about the obvious people who take it too seriously. I'm talking about the mass effect that such a prominent dopamine drip feature has on turning users into a boring hivemind.
I know everyone thinks they're immune, but most of you clearly fucking are not.
FeelsI want stickers back but bitching about it isn't going to change Nulls mind. People are more likely to change when they are inconvenienced. The best way to make him notice is to use the annoying replacement for stickers: single word responses to quoted posts, like what @Netizennameless is doing. Yes that will shit up the threads but it's a sacrifice that must be made to get an actually good functionality back.
"But you could just react normally"
No, as @Nitro! mentioned the point of stickers is to let person A tell person B that their post is retarded.

Some of you may be banned from boards by jannies but these are simply casualties in the Kiwi Sticker War.
The truly baffling thing is that stickers still exist. We're all in this half-assed scenario where they did lose any tangible meaning for the retards, but at the cost of inconveniencing every other user.I want stickers back but bitching about it isn't going to change Nulls mind. And I can react with multiple reactions!I want stickers back but bitching about it isn't going to change Nulls mind. People are more likely to change when they are inconvenienced. If we take Null's reasoning and give him the the most generous interpretation to his reasoning, then this is equivalent of flooding a whole city to teach some retards how to swim in the deep end of a pool.I was reading some of Nulls arguments on the Technical Grievance thread and honestly I do think it's very compelling when he says that he's done it to encourage people to check out other threads than the ones they are already active in and get stickers from. And also to encourage people to check threads that don't have that many messages or aren't especially active; this reason is easy to agree with even if you are someone that already checks out new and varied threads.
Maybe if we didn't so easily know the reactions to our post we would chiller posters ...( or even chiller than right now); the forum already has a different (thank god) atmosphere to current social media and I think some people probably avoid posting completely acceptable messages in for example opinion heavy threads in order to not go against the grain and get immediately shat on and neg rated to hell so its like a panopticon. And there were proably some annoying fags out there that got weird over their react number, high OR low.
But I still think I enjoy sticker notifications; If I rate someones message with a heart or a medal I want them to see it because honestly whats the point if they don't?
Though I understand that it was probably bothersome having posters who can't stop constantly neg rating and posters who can't stop whining about getting neg rated.
sticker notifs back WHEN!
Despite struggling to follow most English related accents (some American states included), his cadence and pacing is easy to understand.Idk how you can stand listening to Josh’s voice. More power to you.
