There are fewer tourists in Podlaskie than in previous years, according to representatives of the tourism industry. The Tatar community in the border town of Kruszyniany also mentions the decline in visitors, attributing it to the situation at the Polish-Belarusian border.

"It's a very difficult tourist season," said Bronisław Talkowski, the chairman of the Muslim Religious Community in Kruszyniany, in an interview with Polish Radio Białystok.

"I can say that it's very bad. I run an agritourism business, and I don't know if I have 10% of what I had in previous years. Generally, people still come to us, but only for one day. They stop by the mosque, go somewhere to a restaurant, maybe eat or maybe not, and then they leave," says Bronisław Talkowski.

Bronisław Talkowski adds that entrepreneurs in the border areas are incurring high costs due to the situation at the Polish-Belarusian border.

"I understand that the border must be strictly protected; however, certain situations have exceeded the factual state, and entrepreneurs are suffering in this situation. I urge people to come and visit. I also appeal to the authorities to address this issue. It shouldn't be the case that we bear the consequences of all this. The authorities should consider some form of compensation," emphasizes Talkowski.

A few days ago in Białowieża, Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia announced that after evaluating data from the mid-season regarding tourism traffic and the situation of companies in this sector in Podlaskie, assistance should be provided if the situation is poor.

The Marshal acknowledged that a good idea for specific support would be, for example, a tourist voucher to be used in the border municipalities of Podlaskie. For now, there is no decision regarding its implementation.

Re-close the border and I'll gladly visit.

If I didn't have to take a plane or boat I'd go to Poland.

>Muzzies most affected

Tatars are generally quiet and are similar to bosniaks, but this article is a proof that western left cancer took over Polish journos completely and they'll write about extremely irrelevant minority being affected more than all of Polish owned tourist industry. Entire situation is a hell for literally everyone next to the border. Podlasie already is very disadvantaged and poor region, like most of eastern wall of Poland, and lagged behind for years and past year was extremely shitty for entire region. Police is useless, Border Guard can't do shit when Lithuanians can shot them and have access to sharp ammo. We don't have it anyway because it all was given out to hohols for free. People have to organize their own patrols in forests to catch migrants and migrant smugglers.
