South Wales Police has arrested nine people after a protest on the steps of the Senedd on Tuesday, November 18. The protesters were on the steps in Cardiff Bay holding banners, or shouting the slogan: "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action."
Police were aware of the planned protest, and there were large numbers of officers present at the Senedd when it began around 1pm. After allowing the protests to stay on the steps for around 20 minutes, holding placards and many holding white roses, they then began approaching individuals and making arrests.
People were asked if they would voluntarily walk to the nearby police van, or were carried, if they did not.

until November 29 around a judicial review of the government’s proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation.
Organisers say to date more than 2,000 people have been arrested under terrorism legislation for taking part in actions and around 170 have so far been charged.
A South Wales Police spokeswoman confirmed nine arrests had been made and the people remained in custody.
