Am I the only one who looks at new growlith and thinks it's an onion:

I will wholeheartedly accept foo dog arcenine though. Sounds dope.

Anyway, legends arceus looks a lot better now. I like the idea of dodging to evade encounters with high-level/enraged pokemon. I would really like if you had to do different maneuvers to avoid different pokemon though (e.g. a dive/roll to evade flying types) but maybe that's too much button space.

Still a lot of other things I want. I'll sperg only a little.
It's canonical that some pokemon are as smart/smarter than humans. It would be awesome to see settlements made by pokemon for you to be able to quest in.

I would LOVE "intelligence"—or something—to play a part in how you build teams (e.g. having intelligent "ally" pokemon who are rare/can't be caught but CAN be recruited via quest. Maybe you only have 1-2 allies per party, or one permanent slot with a second slot for active quests. Completed questlines add that pokemon to a roster of recruitable allies. Meanwhile, your remaining party slots (4-5 slots) are filled by "pet" pokemon whom you CAN catch. This may be overly complicated fluff but I really just want........ new ways to play the game. Codefags feel free to steal this for a ROM hack).
Spergery aside, I may buy legends arceus. First trailer made me X to doubt but second trailer looks.. ok. Kinda interested.

Guess we'll see how the real game looks. Good thing Nintendo lets people post gameplay these days so we can make fun of them.

of course is the typical niggerfied Ace Attorney character avatar twatter
Fucking cancer
The Great Ace Attorney 1&2 official localization was a mistake
I love how to these absolute retard fucking weebs they act like japan didn't do its own little bits of imperialism with shit like the Rape of Nanking (not meji era but if japan was the good boys these twatter fags claim they are wouldn't they have learned from how the evil west fucked them over), no Japan were good boys who dindu nuffen, again not to say the meji era and it's after affects don't matter to its contribution to culture but Christ its so fucking retarded the lengths they will go to say "west bad, east good" from a bunch of morons that never even left outside of their hometown.

The price of the Let's Go games finally dropped enough. Bit the bullet and bought Let's Go Eevee, which is surprisingly harder to find than Pikachu - I've been meaning to for a while after seeing comparisons between LGPE and SWSH and I was absolutely surprised by it. The tutorials are short and sweet, the graphics - while typically lacking for Pokemon - are much livelier and polished than SWSH and the music's pretty good. Even found a full odds shiny Rattata while going to face my rival near the Indigo Plateau.

I'm not going to give my full thoughts until I've played through more of the game, but so far what I'm seeing is way more promising than SWSH was.

These people don't know history beyond what they've been spoonfed in public schools by a teacher's union or a liberal arts college. The world is a big fucked up place, and literally every single country to ever exist has a very dark history based on today's moral standards.

Get over it.

I wonder how many of them even knew about any of this history beforehand.

I just don't get it even on a conceptual level. Why does a game being based on an awful historical thing make it as awful as that historical thing? The plot of X and Y is wars and genocide, but because it's not based on a specific war or genocide, it's okay? If Adolf Hitler turned up in a Pokemon game as the leader and boss of team Nazi, how is that any different from Lysandre, Cyrus, or any other team leader that wants to bring about the end of the world? Like Pokemon in general is cock-fighting, which I don't think Game Freak is promoting, how does the game being based in the Meiji Period mean Game Freak supports what happened in the Meiji Period?

I think this'll just have the effect of not so negative publicity. People will still buy the game.

Exactly this.

People seem to forget that when fiction contains dark subject matter, most of the time, the creators don't endorse it.

The quote RT's are as equally performative: do they believe directors who make slasher films are "profiting off of murder victims"? Or that when kids buy the game, they're going to sub-consciously think, "wow, this is an accurate portrayal of Japan. :)" It makes me MOTI every time I see Twitter ostracizing creators and their works over this, and I can guarantee that this will blow over in a week. Or at the very least, the same people will buy the games anyway, and defend their hypocrisy by claiming to be "critical of their interests".

Just admit you like 'problematic media', and get over it. Rather than cherry-picking and over-analyzing aspects of video games that might hurt the feelings of some white Twitter users' feelings, we should be criticizing the actual quality of the product. And from what we've seen so far, I think Legends: Arceus has the potential to be fun.

Also, wasn't The Great Ace Attorney set in ancient Japan, too? Not very woke of you to racebend a Japanese man, OP. :tomgirl:

Anyway, compared to the previous Direct, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Sinnoh was my shit. The new games seem to have shaped up, I haven't been optimistic about new Pokemon titles in a long time. :heart-full:

If Gamefreak was more experimental and innovative, maybe, just maybe, people wouldn't be put off by how childish Pokémon can get these days (especially in regards to the anime).

If they hadn’t deliberately gutted the mechanics and Pokemon roster, it would be a pretty awesome game.

With all of those comparisons to other games, I'm surprised that someone hasn't made a comparison of The Last of Us 2 having better graphics, i.e. Trees, than Legends.

Huh, I know that Taurus guy, small world and yes he's like that when he spergs about Nintendo/fighting games at Maximilian dood's discord server

I did notice the trees too but by the end of the trailer I thought it looked fine, not that I'm that interested in it to start with

These days people who screech about Pokemon and bashing its fans for having “low standards” are even more insufferable than Gamefreak shills. Especially when said screechers are people with furry pfps that get off to Pokemon fetish porn in between their screaming and anime pfps with the most basic tastes in anime that masturbate to underage Pokemon girls.

It also comes from fans of other monster tamer games who accuse Pokemon fans of “ruining other monster taming games” and accusing them of ruining the chances of other games in the genre of coming to the west. They’ll go after Pokemon fans who simply call a game “Pokemon like” and blame them for ruining the genre. It’s funny because I’ve never seen any Pokemon fans get hostile or hateful towards other monster taming games. These people are just coping hard because Yokai Watch didn’t succeed in the west.

I’ve been considering doing a community watch thread on these clowns since there are some pretty mentally unwell people in the monster taming fanbase but the community isn’t big enough to warrant one.

Edit: More cope

I would think the main reason Yokai Watch didn't succeed is that the game is filled with a lot of Japanese culture. I've never played the series myself to be fair, but that's the impression that I get with it, as opposed to something like Pokemon where there isn't much of a cultural barrier. Except for like, the weird shrine people/hex maniacs in some of the earlier games I guess.

Definitely, and lack of marketing didn’t help either. Unfortunately fans are too much in denial and coping their asses off to realize that.
