I don’t want HMs back or any equivalent of them, they’re horrible and I don’t care if it makes the world immersive. Pokemon camp and Aime/Refresh make me feel far more attached to my Pokemon than shoving an hm slave in my party to solve kindergarten difficulty puzzles. Even if your Pokemon can use an hm move without needing a move slot you still have to put Pokemon in your party that can use them.I despise Hau and Hop, they're both inescapable.
I was thinking about the corner GF backed themselves into recently as far as pikachu clones and the generic first route dog/cat/bird pokemon. Other than looks, there just isn't any substance, but they keep churning more out trying to catch people's attention. They spent so much time on the first gen that everyone knows and loves them.
(Edit, Sorry, accidentally posted before I was ready) but there's nothing to attach yourself to anymore. You can't even have YOUR pokemon interact with the environment to surf, cut trees down, whatever. You have the ride pokemon, a bike, and a blockage you can only pass by going forward and progressing through the game. They really needed to work on interacting more with pokemon, had they done that earlier maybe they wouldn't have had keep making more. I keep thinking pokemon ranger and using that formula- use water pokemon to put out forest fire to move forward kind of stuff. I also wish they would've actually had pokemon in the overworld doing what their dex entries say they do. Maybe things would be a bit more diversified, like "we already had pikachu run through mouse holes in a power plant to press a button to open a gate so maybe let's not do another electric rodent?" I know its a pipe dream, but i can dream about a pokemon game where your kid rival/annoying sidekick just gets taken away in game by drifloon and you have the option to save him (and choose not to) all I want.
I have no problem with them, personally. It's like the mushroom pokemon every odd numbered generation, its per tradition, but my major gripe with them is the trend of having every one past gen 2 be an eletric type with no evolution.I’m so fucking sick of the Pikachu clones. Dedenne in particular is one of my least favorite Pokémon, it just looks like a fusion of Raichu and Marill. Then there’s Togedemaru, the canon version of Sonichu.
That’s my main issue, most of them are utterly useless in battle. Also, Emolga is another really lazy design, it’s basically just a palette swapped Pachirisu that can glide.I have no problem with them, personally. That cuts out so much potential with them especially since the Azurill line is still the best pika-clone ever made.
They could at least give them better stats if they refuse to give them an evolution. That’s my main issue, most of them are utterly useless in battle. Also, Emolga is another really lazy design, it’s basically just a palette swapped Pachirisu that can glide.
It probably will. Looks like its made out of a bunch of recycled Unity store assets. So there is a new Pokemon clone called Palworld and I think it's the best fucking idea for a game in this kind of setting (though it will likely suck) https://youtube.com/watch?v=5fT7yPOTAdQ
> TFW you have your anime character growth = powerup arc but your rival still defeats you easilyYeah it's a good trick but the fact that hop still tells you "Man you sure know your type advantages" every battle after that is just unnecessary. Hop repeats shit so often the guy feels like a broken record, I swear he goes through his whole depression arc 3 times in the game.
Rose's design just screamed twist bad guy since the first time I saw him, that plus considering Macros Cosmos just immediately followed the aether foundation it made the twist feel like a certainty to me.
All these fucking cool looking elemental monsters and the combat is... third person shooter? What the actual fuck?So there is a new Pokemon clone called Palworld and I think it's the best fucking idea for a game in this kind of setting (though it will likely suck) https://youtube.com/watch?v=5fT7yPOTAdQ
Speaking of the Streisand effect the op of the tweet went from having 25 followers to 91 in less than two days. Good job fandom, complaining about toxic fans while making a scene about a tweet that caused the op to get a huge uptick in followers.if joe found it early, that could be it, but it could also just be someone who agrees with him promoted it first. even then, i wouldn't be surprised if joe started it, because nothing says 'long-term twitter user' like a complete lack of knowledge about the Streisand Effect
Them throwing a bitch-fit after Lilycove and not bothering to fight you again so you can see the final starter evolution was a dick move, but it also shows nuance to their character that despite being the child of the region professor and having had more knowledge over you, they'll always be second-best to the player, whom the professor kinda respects/has higher expectations towards. It rustles their jimmies so much, it's even a wonder they still want to be friends with you. They at least fixed that in the remake so that you do get to see the final evolution before they fuck off, and Wally got a bit of an upgrade and proved himself to be the better rival, but I think the trend-setting of nice rivals starting because of them is a shame since there's a way to make nice rivals interesting. (Cheren and Bianca proved this, after all.)May/Brendan were the first imo that were there for the sake of it and were too nice to be a true rival.
I like Barry, he reminds me of someone I actually know, so whenever I see Barry, I think of him and it makes the game a little sillier to me.Barry seems like the proto-hau but actually at least tried really hard to be a proper rival and relevant character in the plot and can be re-battled every now and again at the Survival area on weekends. No idea why you can't rematch against future Generation's rival characters as far as I know.
There may be a lawsuit filed against the developers for plagiarising an intellectual property. That big dog creature is an obvious clone of Lycanroc and the sheep are modeled off of Woloo. So there is a new Pokemon clone called Palworld and I think it's the best fucking idea for a game in this kind of setting (though it will likely suck) https://youtube.com/watch?v=5fT7yPOTAdQ
Pikachu clones are just detractors to one of the best Electric-types, Raichu. And to be honest, it's sad that the Electric-type group has to be swamped with these shitty mons [almost] every generation. With Pachirisu for instance, the only reason you'd use the thing is just to not use a Luxray within the same team you always use throughout a Gen 4 playthrough.I was thinking about the corner GF backed themselves into recently as far as pikachu clones and the generic first route dog/cat/bird pokemon.
He strikes a solid balance. His custom movement speed, even in the 2.5D setting, gives off the impression that the guy is always moving, which is a contrast to rivals who just show up and impede your progress. In a way, it's as if while Barry stops you the player from progressing, it's you the player via the playable character that's stopping Barry, hence the introductory THUD. I'll never forget how he just shows up to Spear Pillar and helps out, in a double battle no less.Barry seems like the proto-hau but actually at least tried really hard to be a proper rival and relevant character in the plot and can be re-battled every now and again at the Survival area on weekends. I mean, skarmory exists and is pretty badass. (really deserves an evolution on par with starraptor.) Same with Altaria being a decent psuedo dragon type. That is if you can find them before the post game.Pikachu clones are just detractors to one of the best Electric-types, Raichu. The birds, on the other hand, are the best. However, I can only see myself using Staraptor, Talonflame (RIP Gale Wings), Toucannon, and Corviknight. The rest are chopped liver; there is nothing to prove by using Noctowl, I swear. Unfezant's cool (love the male's plumage), but it's a bump after Staraptor. And lol at Boomburst Scrappy Swellow. They've been getting better at making the birds more worthwhile with each generation though. Pidgeot even got a Mega (RIP...). Nevertheless, they've always been my favorite staple mons.

He does rock a nice team, and I wish postgame made him reach level 95-100.
I get too emotionally attached to the damn things and feel like a monster for boxing up pokemon I get at the start of the game.Pikachu clones are just detractors to one of the best Electric-types, Raichu. As for the first route dog/cat/rat, at least they mix it up a bit. Furret and Linoone are cute and useful, Luxray's good in a playthrough, Stoutland's cool and I used Liepard of all mons in my White playthrough. Diggersby's actually good, and I always smile when I see Gumshoos. And I know everyone loves Wooloo and Dubwool.

All I remember is that the fat guy likes to danceMeanwhile, I legit cannot believe that despite X&Y giving us like three rivals (three times the money, three times the ability to kick butt), I cannot for the life of me ever remember their names. Faces, kinda, but not names, and I couldn't even tell you their personalities. How the fuck did Game Freak screw that up so bad? Sad.
It looks okay. Nothing mind blowing as of yet though I'm sure that'll change if the developers get enough funding.New Pokémon clone:

Is there combat involving the actual monsters themselves? All I'm seeing is a third person shooter that happens to have a bunch of Pokémon lookalikes either using guns or acting as bodyshields for the player. So there is a new Pokemon clone called Palworld and I think it's the best fucking idea for a game in this kind of setting (though it will likely suck) https://youtube.com/watch?v=5fT7yPOTAdQ
