I'm happy DP are getting faithful remakes, though the slightly off chibi style I don't care for personally. I'm more curious about what kind of compatibility the games will have. I assume they will support Home since the devs are the same, though future compatibility is a question. I really hope they include Pokedex entries for every Pokemon again in the national dex and don't cop out like Game Freak did and start only doing entries for regional dex mons. I loved getting little lore blurbs on every Pokemon.

I have so many questions we have no info on though.
They specifically said you can experience every Pokemon from those games, so does that mean all 493 that existed at Gen 4 are compatible?
Will the National Dex include 5th gen onward?
Can they trade with SwSh?
What about mega evolution?

I'm tentatively excited, especially since it's not GF doing the development.

compared to typhlosian, yes.
Stat-wise, not really.

Not only is Typhlosion slightly stronger specially, but it's also much faster allowing it to be much more likely to land a full health eruption as opposed to Camerupt. Granted, Typhlosion has Starter status.

In terms of typing, though, Camerupt does shaft Typhlosion if they were to ever battle each other.

D/P remakes were inevitable (I'll say it again: Watch them not make it a Platinun remake), but why do we need a prequel game? I'm serious, why? When did Sinnoh ever call for a prequel? What if, I dunno, we really don't need answers to the Sinnoh folklores? We don't need to see the creation of Sinnoh or whatever at all.

I'm actually pretty interested in this Legends game, since I really enjoyed Breath of the Wild, but my main concern is how empty the overworld seems to be. It's definitely something I'll keep an eye on, and given that it's still a year out from release, I'm sure it'll be improved a lot over the coming months, so I have high hopes for it. Of course, it is Game Freak we're talking about, so there's a high chance they'll shit the bed. I'm more interested in that than the DP remakes. I played the original DP as a kid, and loved it, and this looks fine, but it doesn't look like they added enough new features to make it worth playing again. I'll just keep an eye on that one, too, and see what else they show off of it before release. Overall, the presentation wasn't as shit as I expected it to be

I guess you can call him... POKE MALONE!
This... is surprisingly pretty generic. This barely reminds me of Pokémon at all, let alone the memories I had of the franchise. If I listened to this song without the context that it was created for the 25th anniversary I would've thought it was another sappy love song or something.
You want to hear a good western Pokémon song? I got you covered.

So the D/P remakes were outsourced to a different company while Game Freak is handling the weird experimental offshoot. Strange times we live in.

I think Legends Arceus is GF testing the waters to see if they can put out a game without worrying about the whole versions thing. I can already see the endless debates as to whether it's a mainline entry or just a spin-off if only because it doesn't follow that convention.

Cautiously optimistic for these ones.
