This means either they would have to completely re-do Gen4 entirely based around Gen8s bullshit
Can't wait for my inevitable prediction that the Diamond/Pearl remakes would have a much more ridiculously smaller Pokedex than even the originals to come true. But even then who cares right? It has Pokemon on the title on a much more available console. As long as it's Pokemon, no effort needed, kids would want it and people will keep on point to sales as indicators that the games are good.

or they would have to release another Update/SeasonPass for Sw/Sh that would cost more money to allow these pokemon into Gen8 and allow for cross-trade between games.
Honestly, this is actually what I prefer the most. Release one final update for it to add in all the remaining Pokemon and maybe some other features and make it as a nice baseline for future Switch titles to screw over those who paid a lot for Sword/Shield and its DLCs in contrast with a future similar quality with a lower price. Yeah, it would be another "create problems, sell solutions" strategy but I'd rather see Sw/Sh to be more complete than moving on to one rushed title after another.

Right off the bat we're completely fucked because the starters aren't even available. The basic normal types aren't in Gen8. The Fossil Pokemon aren't in Gen8. Team Galactica's Mascot (Glameow/Purugly) isn't in Gen8. Rock Climb, which was an HM in Gen4, is not a useable move in Gen8.

You are thinking very wrong about what they would do with a remake. It is possible that it would have an entirely different pool of usable Pokemon(as in having ones not in Sword and Shield buy missing ones in Sword and Shield), and they could do the same with moves as well. The other Switch Titles, Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, have both Pokemon and moves in it that are not in Sword and Shield, why couldn't they, for example, only have the first 493 Pokemon and have all moves that existed in Gen IV available(similar to how Let's Go had all of the Gen I moves available), on top of newer moves from after those games. Many of the missing moves in Sword and Shield are still partially or fully coded to work, they just have no programmed animations and an arbitrary lockout flag preventing their use without romhacking. Missing Abilities are also fully functional, and there is still data for the missing Pokemon, they just have no models and their Gen VII level up moveset(including moves missing in Sword and Shield)

LGPE is also grouped in with Gen7, so that argument really doesn't hold water. Not to mention LGPE is literally Pokemon Go on a console. It completely separates itself from the mainline games until Sw/Sh came along.

The fact that the shit is still in the code and (as of now) can only be accessed via hacking is part of the problem with Pokemon now. They literally broke everything into pieces to nickle'n'dime it to everyone little by little.

But then it wouldn't exactly be Diamond and Pearl, would it? It would be a Pokemon game that just calls itself Diamond and Pearl and would wear the skin of Diamond and Pearl but everything that made Diamond and Pearl great would be non-existant.

That is the same thing that FireRed and LeafGreen did after Ruby and Sapphire cut a lot of Pokémon.

Watch them not do a remake of Platinum to give them an excuse to not implement the Battle Frontier this time.
I already expected Game Freak to not do Battle Frontier for the remakes which is way too obvious. Even then at this rate it's not really the worst of the worries.
@Bugaboo's got a good point. What did happen with Unite? I was hoping that it was going to get released at some so that I could try it out.
I actually edited the title. News for it did go silent apart from Chinese beta.

So, this isn't Game Freak's fault, but apparently there's a big event happening 2/20 in Pokemon Go. There's a special ticket you can buy that will eventually get you a shiny Mew, so obviously a lot of people bought it. There's also some other exclusive stuff.

However, a ton of people reported that they were able to get access to all the exclusive stuff...without paying anything. This of course has people divided (on reddit, naturally) into the following camps:

1) I paid for this thing so nobody who didn't pay should never have this thing. Niantic needs to take away all their pokemon and items and personally fellate me.
2) I am disappointed that they were able to access things for free that I paid for, Niantic needs to personally fellate me, then give me more items and pokemon.
3) Niantic has screwed up every event for the last 3 years, I will just post a meme so everyone can fellate me.

Not sure what they'll do, or if they'll do anything. But I'm sure it'll be hilarious.

So the question is then how popular is it going to be considering mobas arent that popular to begin with.

Hype for Pokemon Day seems to be ramping up since they're doing a countdown now.

Ready for more people freaking out? Here's a tweet that pokemon made:

This caused two camps to form and start warring with each other.

Camp 1: OH MY GOD GEN 4 REMAKES CONFIRMED
Camp 2: OH MY GOD THEY'RE DOING LET'S GO SINNOH, I HATE THIS AND I WILL BURN DOWN THE WORLD

The pokemon subreddit is full of people acting like the world is ending, even though there has been literally no announcement or confirmation, and all this speculation is because of the words "let's go" in there.

So it's spergs sperging about wild speculation on a highly loved topic. Basically your average neurotic fanbase nowadays. Only thing missing is people an heroing over something like this, with out any confirmation on anything.

If you go back through their Twitter, they're counting down the days using the gens. This started with Galar when it was 8 days to go.

That said, the Sinnoh one's the only one with "Let's Go" included, so make of that what you will.

I think they included “let’s go” because leaks/rumors suggest that a game called “Let’s Go Catching” will be announced alongside Gen 4 remakes.
