tbf tho, considering Galar is just a long hallway with a moderately sized room in the centre, its pretty unlikely players will get lost enough to need a map
Yet they still found it necessary to have NPCs either guide or block you off you every five steps. The sequence of entering the first stadium in particular, my god.

"Here go register in the stadium!"

Register.

"Now go to the inn next door!"

Exit the stadium.

"Trainer the inn is over here!"

Literally turn to the left.

"Here's the inn trainer, right this way!"

>fusion Legendaries
>involves a certain Pokémon riding on the back of horse Pokémon

That's what constitutes as a fusion nowadays? :story:

To be fair, people were just calling it that because, in terms of coding structure, the forms are made the same way they are for Kyurem and Necrozma, since at first dataminers found the item used to do it well before we knew the nature of the new forms, so said dataminers had been calling them fusions without knowing that they aren't really that, and thus many fans were expecting them to be just like past Pokemon that used similar key items.

I wouldn't have minded if it came out this late if they had just given us a specific time. Everyone is freaking out and tbh they really needed to communicate this better.

Again, I'm mad that they lost the opportunity to give us a badass fairy/fighting knight in shining armor. Not only would it be the first Fairy/Fighting, but it would've opened up a lot of opprotunities for character design. Calyrex just looks so out of place on these horses' backs.
These horses are also incredibly generic and boring to look at. I wish they added more visual flair to them, because they don't look like legendaries at all.

I remember playing story mode just wanting to immerse myself in the world and explore and find new Pokemon, and I was being stopped by one character or another every few minutes. Like come on can't you people just leave me alone for a little bit? You all act like I'm Jesus Christ or something.

That's the irony of it though. They follow you around everywhere and treat you like you're the greatest thing since sliced bread, but the second any serious shit happens they pat you on the head and pull the "Let the adults handle this kiddo" bullshit until the very end.

It's like they took all of those online comics with the "10 year old single-handedly stops criminal organization lol" jabs too seriously.
