GameFreak really just needs to retcon this size and weight bullshit like they did "magnetic field" evos.

Nidoking used to be one of my favorite Pokemon, but damn, that 1.4mts really hurts to see, seeing "cute" pokemon being oversized while "badass" or "imposing" pokemon being undersized makes me think GF can't scale for shit, not to mention the discrepancies between size and weight of Wailord and many other pokemon

I mean wailord is the "Blimp" Pokemon or whatever. So the idea is it's large but not heavy so it can float in the water. Although that just makes it being in the water much dumber.
In fact it's so light that for its mass, it's lighter than air. Would've been a perfect opportunity to make a sky whale but I guess they wanted a generic one at the time.

Indeed, if Wailord is lighter than air, then Wailord should've been a Water-Flying type, looking like Levias or the Wind Fish from Legend of Zelda

Such a missed opportunity, i wonder what they were thinking... or maybe they just weren't

A sky whale Wailord could make a grate regional variant tho.

A water flying with stats like Wailord would get obliterated by anyone with access to electric moves. Wailord is not bulky despite his high health. You could literally "whale" on him with anyone.

Speaking of bad retypings, what the hell were they thinking with G-Rapidash? The whole lore with Ponyta being pure Psychic was that unicorns can cure poisons or something, only for it to gain a weakness to Poison after evolving. Would've worked a bit more if its special ability granted full immunity to Poison attacks, but it only affects the poison status.

I think that works, actually. All types have a broad definition, and poison includes stuff like pollution and toxic waste. From my hazy recollection, more modern depictions often show Unicorns being either hurt or scared off by pollution. Having them be resistant to poisoning itself but weak to toxicity in general might be a way to show that.

Especially considering G-Ponyta is a My Little Pony in everything but name. It's half a foot shorter than the normal version, and noticeably more rounded as well. Even their eyes are flipped, with Normal being more flat on top and more rounded on the bottom, and Galarian being more rounded on the top and flatter on the bottom.

A bit of competitive spergery, but when the Tapus come to town it's going to be a glorious mess. It's not outright confirmed but I think it's a foregone conclusion that they'll get the new IoA moves that do crazy shit with terrain. Rising Voltage Koko, Expanding Force Lele, Grassy Glide Bulu, it's going to be a slaughter. And that's even before getting into known datamined changes like Koko and Bulu getting physical Fairy STAB (Play Rough) and Close Combat.

Tapu Bulu really feels like it is going to be outclassed by Rillaboom, since the later is faster and has a better movepool (Gets things like U-Turn and Knock Off), while it's attack and bulk are only slightly lower than Tapu Bulu's. Although Bulu does have it being a Fairy-Type in its favor, so that might come into play more than I think.

Expanding Force Tapu Lele sounds like a nightmare though. She was already the best Tapu, and in my opinion, kinda broken. That's definitely going to be enough to push her over the edge.

Fairy absolutely helps Bulu more than you'd think (especially since it will now actually have the physical STAB to go along with it). Watch any OU video and you're bound to see 2-3 Fairy types per team because it's that busted. Not to mention access to Horn Leech for a STAB recovering move compared to Rilla's Drain Punch, and it won't be stuck with Superpower anymore either.

As for who will be most busted, probably Lele again but Koko with Rising Voltage shouldn't be overlooked, which in its terrain doubles to 140 and that's before factoring in the separate 1.3 terrain boost and STAB. Yeah there's a type and multiple ability immunities to it but if you're out of those and a countering terrain setter you're looking at a mon firing off nukes stronger than most Z and Dynamax moves for free.

In somewhat sketchy news, TPCI decided to REUPLOAD four of their Pokemon Unite-related videos their official YouTube channel. The Hive is Buzzing.png
They REALLY want to keep this hatred of Tencent quiet but all this will do is cause the Streisand Effect to hit 'em, like a ton of bricks.

Some people are claiming it's due to a switch being backwards in the previous videos, imagine that game freak released something with an obvious error, but considering that their dealing with tencent I wouldn't put it past them. I said it earlier but the video was less for the fans and more of a sign of confidence with tencent. They have to make it look good as not to spook the Chinese market.

On a sidenote I thought China had a habit of banning all foreign gohst stories, how the hell did pokemon get in considering one of its types is gohst?
