It's an interesting detail, tbh. Fennekin is one of the more overtly feminine lines, especially Braixen so making it male in Masters is a weird choice.

From what I heard, didn't they do something just as perplexing by giving the gen 4 female protagonist (Dawn) a turtwig instead of a Piplup like most other media did?
I'm just more surprised that the Pokemon have explicit genders in Masters where it doesn't matter.
So there's no breeding? Is the move attract removed too?
In terms of moves they're really dependent on the "Sync pair's" combat type. The three being Power, Tech and Support.
There's no breeding because in Masters, the gacha is in 'Sync Pairs' - AKA Trainers and their Signature pokemon. You can't breed Pokemon, because they'd have to be paired with trainers and the end of that logic is 'whoops, can't show that in a Christian manga!' As for Attract... I'm not sure. Maybe there is attract? Maybe they were covering their ass.
They recently added pokemon eggs. You apparently get them through battling and can hatch them to have your self-insert character have their own sync pair with them.
Y'know I should do a mono type run myself. Sounds like fun.
I've done Bug (Black 2), Flying (Heart Gold), and Poison (Y). Definitely requires research though as the chart @Disc posted shows. And by nature you're rather limited to later gens if you don't want a lack of typing coverage.
I loved Gen 4 because of the Mechanic changes..but holy shit a Fire Gym when you have like 2 fire types in the entire region was a Dumb, Dumb fucking idea.
