It seems like GameFreak or whoever is trying to ban folks from talking about these leaks. They even took them Mega links that had the G&S betas. Lucky they don't know this site exist.

Just in case? I'll download the files and check to make sure they are all the beta files cause I might see if others can save these on the main website itself. Who knows? GameFreak or Nintendo might try to sue KiwiFarms. But what are the odds of that happening?
 
Honestly I press X to doubt about Gamefreak and Nintendo caring because there's still a ton of links and torrents floating around for the leaks and more, though I will say the source of this leak is from the same hoard of files some other guy stole and spread around and then people sat on (I wrote a big thing on the Pokemon Lolcow thread).
Wouldn't surprise me if this was tranny hoarding tantrum taken to the extreme like them reporting the most popular links that were posted on /vp/. Of course you have people who claim they got phone calls like Dr Lava but even he has some ties with that community even if he doesn't directly have access to files.

what is it with people and hoarding unreleased shit? it's not like there aren't ways to get this stuff uploaded safely, or people who will do it for you. it's just an idiotic prestige thing. "lol I have it u dont".

the only time I think it was ever justified was the TF2/CS:GO shit since that could of fucked up alot of devs on source and possibly destablizing the online infrastructure, other then that for shit like pokemon's beta it's stupid to hoard shit like this

to be fair, the spaceworld demo might as well been an entirely different game considering the amount of shit that changed, shame about some of those entirely unused designs, some like that cat looked amazing.
 
If Nintendo/Game Freak is cracking down on this, it's fucking stupid since the game's been out for over twenty years now and they made their money off of it, we've already had the Space World demo for two years now, and beta information is super interesting and helps us get a look into the production at the time. They should be showing this stuff off and answering some questions a.k.a. interacting with their audience. They want to get on people's good side after the SwSh and Pokémon Home/Sleep shitshow, they should let their audience have this. They can go after the person who leaked it (like they did for the then-unreleased SwSh even though that was a godsend) and see what insider information they know and if there's legal action to take, but they should leave the fans alone.

Seriously, this is some cool shit, and there's people out there wanting to deny the fans this because reasons. We may not even be certain the Pokémon Yellow/Pink leaks are even official, but it makes you think that's not real when they didn't bother going after that and instead want to flag this.

That's the main reason why I'm x-ing to doubt this. Theres already been leaks, and they didn't strike them. Why would they suddenly decide to do it with this set in particular? especially as the earlier sets seemed to have more unreleased pokemon, which feels more fan-grabby than other leaks.

Actually, these leaks contain not only the full color 251 Pokemon Sprites, but also all of the spaceworld 1997 sprites plus many additional sprites for beta Pokemon that are only in monochrome.

I should warn people that some fake or edited sprites are going around and being claimed as real, like the Mantine @Sangria posted. The real sprites of the 1999 Beta mantine have no teeth on them, it's a giant toothless mouth like real manta rays. Other, more obvious ones include a Mac Tonight-like Pokemon. The ones I have seen so far can be identified with the faded out monochrome colors, I have the actual non-Pokedex sprites on me and they are all more darkly colored than that.

This archive has all of the missing ones here. Anything else you see is a hoax. I double-checked my folder to see if any in the files I downloaded are missing, none are unless you REALLY want to see more Kanto Pokemon sprites(Which for the most part are the same ones from the 1997 demo) That blog you posted is mixing in fake ones with real beta sprites.

Yeah you’re right, especially now since all the beta leaks are causing the “the series went to shit with Gen 3” nostalgia crowd to crawl out of the wood work.

While it's certainly true that fake sprites are being passed around (Femmesprout comes to mind), the toothy Mantine does not appear to be among them. I've been talking with people who are going through the demo code and they've confirmed that it's real, with the sprite coming from the decoded sprite databanks (specifically from the 000309 zip if I recall correctly).
Edit: The toothy Mantine was specifically found in Silver's CBB scratchpad, and had two sprites dated around 6/13/1999:
